I've cut and pasted that post and the only words red-lined are Assem Allam. Is this really about you not knowing what "lose" means?

It's not a small issue to me though Lou. It's about the identity of my club, and it's history. It's because my dads been supporting Hull city afc,for 70 years and he wants to carry on doing so.

It's because Dr Allam lied to us,and there really is no defending that is there ?

It's about the sickly, embarrassment i feel in my stomach whenever i contemplate supporting an English football club named Hull Tigers.

out of interest what will the fans who will stop going to watch Hull Tigers do on Saturday afternoons for your football fix once you have exercised your principle. As to be fair if Papa is running the club as a business as a consumer/customer then any season ticket holder or pay for individual game ticket buyer has a right to withhold their custom from a business

We'll cross that bridge if we come to it. The aim of the campaign is to make sure we remain Hull City AFC.

So your aim is to stay Hull City AFC, and not even reduce to Hull City.
So really you should have badges saying 'NO to Hull City'.

Good luck with those next week. <laugh>

OK no longer support Hull (city/Tigers/whatever) because of a name change...
I will sharpen the knife for your nose.

i'm genuinely in the don't know camp here - I've had days when I definitely feel **** it - and there's days like yesterday when it's all too easy to realise why you support the club - i travel nearly 400 miles to watch city each week so if i didn't go then i would save around £70 / wk on fuel alone - but i don't want to have to do that because I truly support trhe club - it's just a pity that we have such an ignorant **** as an owner - so he may get my money for the football but he'll never get another penny for anything else - at his age he won't be around for too long anyay - I'm sure he'll be warmly remembered for saving the club. his insatiable desire to satisfy his own ego and reviled for his total disrespect and disregard for the City and its football fans

I doubt the Italians would stand for it.

Napoli finished 2nd/3rd in Serie A last season, and have competed at Champions League level for a few years now. So where's the benefit in moving?

They're better at this sort of thing than we are. Look at the way the away fans didn't turn up at the Inter match last season (barring one person) and the Lazio protests in the Rome derby. We'd never see owt like that here.

Infact, most of the footballing world stick up for themselves better than we do. We pay over the top ticket prices for little reward, except the odd free bus ride to an away match. In comparison, German, French, Spanish etc fans wouldn't bother. Even if they were Ultras or not.

If that happened here in Hull you'd still have those in favour.

    I support Hull City (AFC)

There are no other professional clubs in this city unless someone creates a new one.

I can see both sides of the argument, his and the councils.
The council are getting money from the flotation of KC on the stock exchange, Kingston Communications had the stadium named after them.
They won't give up that cash cow so easily.
He wants to do right for his adopted city, I truly believe that.
his beef is with the council - not with us fans.

You are becoming a minority. How anyone can read Obi's post and not think it makes sense is just plain thick.

he edited it - he learned of his mistake between lose and loose, minor mistake, but can be annoying to the reader. MY initial point is about reading your post through.. Something YOU should learn to do.

if the Council wont sell him the ground - then tough - they dont have too and why should they - it cost over £40 million, property prices are increasing so he should offer £50 million - but he hasn't and he wont - he simply wants something on the cheap which belongs to Hull taxpayers and residents - the name change is just bollox cos he cant get his own way - he bid £45000 for the HU11 CTY registration plate in March this year and he stated he wanted to save that for the city and the club- he's nothing more than a silly nasty old man who happens to be very wealthy who believes he can do anything he wants and can trample on anyone who stands in his way - too much ego with absolutely zero class

Our club name is Hull City AFC. Assem Allam wants to change that to Hull Tigers. There is no proposal to change the name to Hull City. You still haven't had the decency to answer my questions to you.
