"stoke playing a passing game" "stoke are pleasant to watch" Doesn't seem right hearing these comments. Although Norwich winning away from home in the league is pretty rare.
I can't see that happening at all based solely on the quality and experience they have. A trained monkey could manage that squad to safety. But I must admit, Moyes looks to have created a culture of uncertainty. The defensive frailty of United in recent games has been eye popping to say the least. I touted for Moyes to take over from 'Arry a couple of years back... what an error of judgement that was on my part! So glad we have AVB and his crew now as I can see how we are developing into a force. Moyes is just a run of the mill manager who can get an average bunch of guys to play above themselves but he is out of his depth at United. He'll be gone by the end of the season. I still think you have a few years to wait on that front unfortunately. Arsenal can see what is happening up at United and no doubt, fear the same decline when the blind professor does finally go. A change from such long term stability will only lead to turmoil.
Sunderland AFC News And Banter Page Westwood, Gardner, Colback, O'Shea, Cuellar, Larsson, Ki, Cattermole, Johnson, Giaccherini, Altidore. Subs: Wickham, Celustka, Ba, Mannone, Ji, Roberge, Mavrias. Mignolet, Toure, Sakho, Skrtel, Enrique, Henderson, Lucas, Gerrard, Moses, Suarez, Sturridge Subs: Jones, Agger, Aspas, Ilori, Sterling, Ibe, Wisdom Both Suarez and Sturridge start, although rodgers is playing Toure at right back and Sakho looks shaky through the centre, tough one to call.
Often happens when the coach is sacked the team wins but this might be a tough call for Sunderland. Don't really know about this match. I'd never heard of Pellegrini up until he'd been appointed City coach and judging by yesterday's result and Cardiff I'm beginning to understand why.
He was the manager of Real Madrid when they had Ronaldo, they got 99 points in a league season but still lost the title to Barca. Hes like a better Keegan as his teams are famous for playing amazing attacking football yet hes tactically asute, but I agree hes struggling a tad so far over here.
Already we have Mousers saying that this is a "must win" game to keep their title challenge alive. If 'Pool do win today, we will all have to suffer the delusions of Mousers for another entire week. We really do need Sunderland to pull something out of the bag, for all our sakes.
Norwich eh! can't buy a win, then go to one of the hardest grounds outside the top clubs and get one where most don't!
Pool are winning the matches they should be so credit to them....even if we have been dropping points against the big teams...we can't afford to have blips against the rest... Beating the rest should be enough.
Let's not forget that Pool are playing the bottom club which has amassed one point this season so it's not surprising they're ahead. Anyway it's match over so I'm signing off until Thursday.
