Look Flyer, we are all aware of what the situation is regarding contracts and players. Firstly, what the football has taught me is that you absolutely don't know what is round the corner. So negative speculation is a total waste of time. Secondly most of what you have been moaning about since the start of this year's transfer window has not come to pass. Your crystal ball simply hasn't worked. In fact, totally the opposite, and yet you persist in making negative and pointless posts. I suspect that the vast majority if people reading this message board are utterly fed up with you. I believe wholeheartedly in reasoned, sensible debate, but yours isn't and you don't. Somebody else on this board mentioned that he thought you were hoping for everything to go tits up so you could be proved right. That's a pretty sorry state of affairs for somebody who purports to support this club.
Can hardly moan when we are where we are, and sit ounds like we performed very well yesterday at last. Haven't seen enough games myself to have strong opinions about our new players, but I share Flers concerns about the extra injury liabilty of the older players at CB and Striker. 2 of our old strikers are out injured for weeks, and we are very short at CB. But hopefully Harry has a Plan.
I must admit I was dreading this season and could see nothing better than being on the fringes at the start of the season. However, we rode our luck early on and have gradually pieced it together. The signings of Kranjcar and BAE are really brilliant and I now think we will get stronger as we go. The loan market followed by the January window is a handy safety net! Onwards and upwards...
I was happy with Simpson, Philips and Austin, players who can play in this division and then step up if needed. I was not happy with stop gaps leaving us in a bad position next summer or us clearly short at CB and CF.
I would assume that HR and SmcC are fully aware of the situation and doing their best to get people in. They have shown, over the last 3 months how good they are at this, so we can only assume that they working hard to resolve this problem. The management team are hugely experienced. I would suggest that they are together the best in the Championship, what we all no about management can be written on the head of a pin in comparison. It amazes me how posters on this site pontificate about Robles as though they are the only person who has thought of it and obviously HR is blissfully unaware. Rest assured he knows exactly what is happening, exactly where the problems are and in his own way is attempting to resolve them. So far he has done incredibly well and deserves our respect and thanks. The team have brought a much needed credibility to brand QPR. We have been transformed from a laughing stock last season to a position of respect and credibility in the space of 3 months or so, how anybody has cause for complaint at this moment beggars belief. I suppose all they can resort is moaning about contractural arrangements for next year. Let's enjoy this season first can't we? Please.
This bull**** you keep spewing out about us having no players for next year is ridiculous. Kranjcar and BAE are dead men walking at their parent clubs, hence why they've been loaned out, so they are ours if we want them next year. Tottenham would love for us to take Carroll again to give him Prem experience. Providing Dunne doesnt get a horrendous injury he will activate a clause in his deal which will give him another year, same goes for O'Neil. Faurlin will get a new deal as he has potential sell on value and Tony likes him. We have all the Loanees coming back and i'd imagine some will get another chance maybe Granero. Theres a good chance we can persuade Remy to stay as he'll want to be in London. Taarabt isnt getting a game at fulham, wont have a better option than us although Harry probably wont want him. Hill will get a new deal, good around the place. Murphy will probably stay as a 3rd choice. Add to that the potential new signings. Im almost certain Defoe will be at QPR after the World Cup and Im confident Dawson will be eased out of the spurs team and may want to join up with Harry again. Both hugely experienced players and Great professionals. Livermore is another one i'd keep an eye out for, Harry likes him. Those options plus the inevitable other players we will get in will mean we have more than enough players for the season, and assuming Harry sticks with signing professional players who like to train and play then they will fit like a glove with most of the current group and any transition should go ahead without too many issues. Harry know what he's doing, you Flyer, do not. Case closed.
didnt you just say "what the football has taught me is that you absolutely don't know what is round the corner." yet somehow you think we will sign the players he listed? What he said is a stretch, what I said was a fact unless of course we give the likes of Zamora, johnson, Young, Hill, Traore etc another contract.
How is it a stretch ? its a rational prediction, it may not all turn out like i stated, but im sure a fair proportion of it will come to fruition. But do you honestly believe the Board will allow us to leave ourselves completely under prepared for the PL again? This isn't just a bit of fun for them mate, they've put a lot of their own cash into QPR and aren't going to want to throw it away. Wealthy people don't get rich by throwing cash away, its not how it works. The plan is in place, sign good players who want to wear the shirt. Players like that don't take time to fit in, they become club favourites instantly. As long as we keep a similar transfer policy to this summers for next year, we'll be absolutely fine. Harrys got more contacts in the game then he knows what to do with.
It seems to me that you are digging a hole. I suggest you stop digging and come up with something more constructive to comment on. Rather than pointless pontificating that is a complete ware of time.
No, its the exact opposite, Im stating we will have to replace loads of players, you state I cant know whats going to happen, he names half a dozen players we will sign and you agree with him. Im out, you obviously cant the hilarious hypocrisy here. Enjoy the last word.
Is that a promise that you won't post any more on this board? I seriously hope so. You add little positive to the debate. I suppose you perform the role as the board idiot, so you have some value. But silence from you until next season will be very welcome.
Ealing, you've got 32 posts. You're in no position whatsoever to dictate to established contributors whether they should continue to be involved or not. I think most of what Flyer posts is way off the mark, but you've got to take him with a pinch of salt.
This I'm not his biggest fan either and have now told myself to just ignore the rubbish he writes but he's undoubtedly a QPR brother and like everybody else he is entitled to his opinion.
It makes absolutely no difference whatsoever how many posts I have made. I read the site every day and am one of the original members. I also contributed to the old BBC 606 site. I gave up contributing to this message board as there was so much negative ill informed crap by Johnnycome lately's I found it depressing and utterly frustrating. I'm all for free speech but continual negative carping is such a waste of both yours and my time that I just wanted to voice my frustration, I make no apology for this and will continue to voice my opinion as and when I feel I should. My hope was that Flyer would start to see things in air positive and creative way.
You are entitled to voice your opinion ealing, but so is Flyer. His posts are admittedly mostly of a negative nature, but he often makes valid points.
I don't care how much reading and lurking you've done, of course posts make a difference. You must've given up contributing to this message board pretty quickly, considering your post count? Whereas Flyer is dedicated to the not606 cause, and has contributed 322 times as much to the board as you. So based on that alone, it's fairly clear who's presence would be more missed. As it happens I agree with pretty much every point you've made about Arry', Ealing!
