I heard he was earning 14k a week and our highest earner if not for Ross. But yes, I agree with your point I don't think he would get that many goals, he's not the kind of striker to create his own chances and take them is he? And we aren't creating enough. If we do sign a striker instead of a winger (which I see as pointless at this stage personally) then we will need to sign someone who can create their own chances (someone like Vaz Te) We aren't creating loads of chances, that was the first game we have and to be honest it was at the cost of defensive stability.
Eire, TBH I was slightly annoyed, but Johnson was a lazy bollox at times and Howson was over hyped because he was a Leeds lad. Gradel leaving was another one that peeed me off. Anyway I know you're in a cranky mood so I won't bother you much today....
I remember that bollox about Gradel only leaving for family reasons. Garbage it was for cash and he almost signed for a Russian team in January, does he family there too? No problem with players leaving to improve themselves and their circumstances. I just hate the fact that they say they were doing it because they were forced out or for family reasons when in fact it was for cash. I would have much preffered Howson and Snoddy coming out and telling the truth about they knew under bates we had no chance so left to get better football. They all left and got more cash and didn't say anything about the reason, yet most of us knew Howson and Snodds were sold for Bates bank account and both knew that Leeds would never get promotion with him at the helm.
And end up with at least as many points. You never know we might even score more than no, one or two goals and win big in games against some of the dross ( Barnsley, ballmouth, Yeovil and yes millwall)! The crowd will turn if we keep up trying to bore teams to a stop.
Agreed, but I honestly think McD sees the bulk of this squad as being crap which they are. If released in the morning most wouldn't get another club to take them. This season is likely a damage limitation exercise for McD but not a whole lot of use to us fans. Not even October yet and our season is basically over
