In my biased view your keeper is overrated and your striker is underrated. I would also say Mertesacker is underrated but that's not relevant.
You can't underestimate the importance of today's results for Arsenal. Chelsea and the Spuds taking points from each other. City losing and Utd getting humiliated at OT, with us winning away. It felt like today was one of those days that might set a big marker for how the season pans out.
I think once we play Chelsea, Liverpool, Dortmund, and United in succession is when we can start laying a marker down on the season, even when we play Napoli this Tuesday, and Dortmund at home before those 4 big ones in succession. These big games will tell us all we need to know about how strong we really are.
Hopefully we do so with our strongest team - then it is a good way to measure where we really are. Now we are a bit lucky that we are meeting "weaker" teams - but fantastic we still manage to win them cuz they really aren't any easy games (see utd and city result)
That is a tough run of games and I agree it will come down to how we perform against the top teams this season. Utd and City look there for the taking and we've already beaten the spuds, whether they are considered to be a top team is debatable though and I'm not sure Liverpool can sustain their form through the season.
I watched the great Ozil as I always do now with interest. Not a very good game from him yesterday but do not worry gunners because he will grow into the team and be amazing. I am missing him at Madrid. We lost to our big rivals and we really struggled to create goals without him.
Wow lot's of criticism of Giroud after having a big hand in both goals and also Chesney after a good game. Personally I thought our worst player was Ozil.
he looked overwhelmed a bit ad was poor against our big rivals. i think he is slightly in Ronaldo's shadow.
Yep, only the opinion of the severely blinkered fans means something, got it. Notice how less attached members of this board, and the rest of the world rave about Szczesny...
Wow! This made for interesting reading!! Seems very much like one person who won't accept others are entitled to an opinion. Might I suggest the ignore function? Giroud is good, and has improved a lot this season. He'll score goals but will have quiet games. I'm not worried about him but Arsenal would benefit from having a world-class CF.
