OK, I'm a bit pissed. Actually, I'm a lot more pissed than I was earlier. But I can still read a post & respond to it. Sadly, my efforts with Clive today have resulted in him ignoring all of my questions, but seem to have spawned a multidude of inglorious, blinkered crap from him. I wasn't on 606 much tbf, but am now beginning to understand the frustration that surrounds him. He spout shiite all the time & avoids answering any questions surrounding his shiite. To me, that is not in the spirit of this forum. I say ' ban the bastard'. Anyone think I'm wrong? P.S. I would have set up a poll if I had any idea how to go about it. Anyone want to pick up the challenge?
You've repeatedly called me a prick because you don't like my point of view, now you've made a thread trying to bully me off the forum, calling me a bastard and you talk about 'the spirit of the forum'. It's one thing for people to attack me for wanting McDermott out when the results are okay, but when we've lost 5 out of 6 it's downright bizarre.
Its because you're a boring **** who comes out with the same crap all the time, if you answered peoples posts, because you seem to have all the answers, and without always bringing Grayson up all the ****ing time, you may get a few friends on here, doubt it though. ****ing wum
Why is it okay for everyone to bang on about how bad Warnock was but I can't mention Grayson? I'm comparing managers. What's wrong with that?
I'm not sure I know who you are, but I guess if you seek to gain attention by winding people up, that might perhaps speak volumes about you and how your mind thinks.
Clive, As an impartial observer, this is a discussion forum, which to me suggests that if you make a statement or voice an opinion, it is incumbent upon you to justify what you are saying. If somebody questions your views you either back yourself up or you shut up.........it really is that simple
Is it the manager or more likely the owners and club structure. We've had too many managers in recent years and they can't all be bad? We need significant investment and being on Al Jazeera today, probably hasn't helped the Middle East investment opportunities!
I have him blocked as, based on JA, I knew he would irritate me and not illuminate me in any way. You can do the same, I expect. Its only a matter of time before he is banned, I would vote for giving him a bit longer in case he can take on board the comments and change (he won't though). Also I'd implement the ban not after we have lost badly, but after we win a game (so that should give him a whil;e ) to be sure its not annoyance at other matters that motivates But agree with the non-clive comments, he's a disaster
My sentiments too. Nothing wrong with the manager but you cannot prosper in football today at our level without proper investment in the squad. This is not the popular opinion though as GFH are still on their honeymoon with many supporters
I do not want to see more investors taking a bit here and there, I want GFH to sell us. Goodness knows how many fingers are in the Elland Road pie but the more that are in it the more the board are going to have to please and keep happy. Also how does it work, you invest £1million and what are you promised? What if you wish to take that £1million back out, what is it valued at?? Again when the accounts are officially announced I quite expect a few people are going to have made a pretty penny and if it hasn't been achieved on the pitch watch the likes of Byram being sold.
I can't see how this business model of having multiple investors can possibly work, not in a football club anyway. Some will want to see investment in the team, some will want consolidation, with a season of mid table mediocrity and the last of the Bates regime's legacies (not debts according to GFH - we're debt free!) so with trying to keep all investors happy relegation is a distinct possibility, and your £1M would be worth less than half that in L1 As for Byram, if he has a prolonged run in the side and recaptures last season's form I can see him being sacrificed in January. So as to try and keep all investors happy only half of the fee will be used for transfers.
Of course it can't or won't work. Middle east investors bunging in a million or two in the kitty will want that back with interest over a period of time. There are two ways of achieving this, selling assets or promotion. Promotion is a pipedream, nothing more. Option one remains but we're well accustomed to that one anyway I suppose
