Nigel Clough has been sacked from Derby County - to me would be an ideal replacement for Pardew

I personally want rid of Pardew due to lack of tactics, poor play etc though I do agree with others point of view that he needs time!

I never trust Twitter! This is my plan, Fulham sack Jol, Jol goes to Mackems, Palace sack Holloway and replace him with Pardew. Poyet goes to Fulham we get Clough!

No chance of either us or the mackems employing him as manager.
Been out of his depth at Derby and finally getting the sack, so why on earth would we want to replace Pardew with him?

Just getting rid of Pardew is a good enough reason.

Don't tell Hacky Sack I said that.

Find it strange people criticising Clough yet want people like Di Matteo and/or Poyet who have even less experience. He has worked his way up and at Derby had very limited resources but did very well with what he had including bringing in some good youngsters. I believe even Derby fans are bewildered!

It doesn't really matter who Toon bring in because you'll have the same 30 players for ever<wah>

Wouldn't fancy Cloughie. He has done ok but hardly pulled up trees. Loads of others home grown options though with the likes of Tisdale, Robinson, Johnson, Powell, Allen all having
had good times at lower level. Its not fashionable though.

The managers I would really fancy, we wouldn't pay for. Someone like Hoddle is still young enough at 55, and has kept in touch with modern football to ensure he'd bring a massive amount of knowledge to the table. His teams always play correctly too.

Any manager who comes here though is going to be hampered by a madcap boardroom, a warped transfer policy, and general "just do enough" outlook. The refusal to spend money on british players because of inflated fees is an aberration to me. Maybe we just have to accept where we are of course, but even if we don't want to spend decent money on the likes of Hughes, Rhodes, Ince etc, there are cheaper home grown options others have found but we roll out the excuse "no better than what we have" ignoring the obvious problem it creates.

He did well with Burton Albion - a non league club and then he joined Derby and saved them from relegation and has stabilised the club into a mid table team with basically no resources! I pretty much think that means he should be able to cut it here!

Nooooooooooooo he just doesn't cut it.
I will be gutted if Poyet goes to Mackems, I would love to see him at SJP.
