As a visitor today I couldn't believe how undemonstrative O'Driscoll was. You don't want a manager who's leaping all over the place but he was almost statuesque. Add in that in the whole game your team only committed 5 fouls and you must wonder where the passion is.
Never liked Clough as a manager, ALWAYS thought his team were better than the opposition and moaned about how unfair it was when they got beaten. Unlike his father, no class...
I can't believe I am saying this, but I'd rather have Sean than Nigel.... I need a lie down after that haha
What has clough done at derby to think he will do anything different? Judging by his interviews, he's boring, his w/l ratio is poor for a big club
Clough has hardly set the world alight at Derby, but results with him in charge couldn't be any worse under him that SOD
Clough done **** all at derby for 4 years, Don't know why everyone is so surprised, They've been a mediocre average championship team in his whole reign, They obviously have the stability in that league and they now want to go that step forward, A new manager was the only way to do it as Clough never was the answer.
Why would we want a manager who has just been sacked for underacheiving, I'll stick with SOD for a while yet.
Nor does Laudrup at Swansea, he hardly get's out of the his dug out......look what he has achieved!!!
I sit about 7 rows in front of the Director's Box, so have a good view of the bench. Yes, it's true that SoD does not jump up and down and wave his arms about. On Saturday he was "at the 4th official" about the time wasting by the keeper (after half an hour) - he also gives instructions to the players in a calm way - they know and understand his message
O'Driscoll Promotion for Bournemouth Football League Trophy for Doncaster Promotion for Doncaster All of it on limited budgets, punching above his club's weight. Clough Promotion for Burton Albion (from the Northern Premier League to the Conference) The last 4 years at a team who can get 25,000 through the door. As CV's go, I know which person I would rather employ
If we sack SOD, you know he'll get another job, and it'll be at a Championship club. He's a sought-after manager. You also know that we'll struggle to get anyone good. SOD is by far the best manager we're going to get in this league. If I didn't support City I'd love to give you all your wishes and see SOD get sacked, only because the board will replace him with a yes man. I'd them laugh my tits off as City slide down into League 2. The anger should be directed at the board and the players, not at SOD. No other manager could do better with what we've got.
Nothing like coasting on something you did SIX YEARS ago I suppose. Especially when you have achieved nothing but relegation since then!
