Cheers. Still got you down as a dark horse for the top 4, you're getting the difficult games out of the way nice and early.
If we can get results in our next 3 fixtures (which i think we can considering our opposition), then November could be a really big month for us. Hopefully Walcott and Cazorla will be back in the mix and others backsoon after. If we are still top of the league after the Liverpool and Utd games then we will be in a strong position to actually compete for the league this season.
Agree, only Man City and Chelski to play and thats not now until late November. Just hope we can kick on now, and get some results.
Disagree with you totally, practically man of the match for me. Excellent defensively, an assist, involved heavily in both goals, and did a lot of work in the trenches on a day when we had no width to spread the opposition back 4 out. He is exactly what we need, and lays the ball back to the midfield excellently. If you think he had a bad game, you missed the best part of the match.
Well it was one incident that wasn't really Szczesny's fault (overhit passback) in a game where he had done nothing wrong... and you're saying you would like it to be his last game for the club! I know he was a bit too casual when running it out, but nothing came of it, and you wouldn't find many fans who would condemn their goalkeeper for something like that. He is young and learning, and I think he's learnt almost enough now to have the no.1 jersey. There will be the odd mistake, but think how good he could be in a few years. We've invested a lot of time to get him this far, and it would be a complete waste to give up now. Maybe a year or two ago I would have agreed, but he's close enough to being the full package now.
There will be tougher tests to come.. we can't expect this winning run to continue forever. The real test will be, how do we bounce back WHEN we eventually do lose. Feet on the ground for now.
you are joking right ? He is the man we are asking to score our goals . He was largely invisible AT HIS JOB , Being seen in defence does NOT cancel out that . He needs to shape up . Thanks to the youngster and Rambo for doing his job again today .
Just admit it, he was dire today. He may have been involved in both goals, but CF's typically are anyway, and aside from those 2 moments (where he was a passenger anyway) he was nowhere. He didn't hold the ball up well, he didn't make good runs, he didn't offer an outlet, hence us being under such pressure. Victor Anichebe showed today for WBA what a target man is supposed to do, and Giroud did nothing.
I think people have been too critical of Giroud in some games when his all round contribution has been good but i thought his hold up play was awful today
I actually though Bendy would have threatened more than him today . What does that say for Giroud. ? He was invisible in the danger area . Thats not a good thing for a " striker "
Look, I'm tired of you ****ing idiots. You know **** about football and for three years you just write illiterate crap that says, "Our PlaYers is bad," and expect us to respect your point of view as a well reasoned critique. You write ****, "He is the man we are asking to score our goals " and "...largely invisible AT HIS JOB", just means you haven't a ****ing clue what his job is. He was under practically every ****ing ball laid forward, how the hell you can say he was invisible beats me. He is not the man we are asking to score our goals. He is the man we are look at to be an all around modern centre forward. How you can watch Arsenal for so long, and appreciate so little beats me.
defensively we were very solid today . We kept them contained , waited for the game to open up a bit and struck . twice . Good performance generally away from home . More please .
He was under every ball, but was getting beaten to most of them. Surely that's not performing his job? And he is the man we're asking to score our goals, a Wenger system relies on a high-scoring CF (Wright, Anelka, Henry, RVP), Giroud is not the right man for this system, someone like Luis Suarez is. I have no issues with Giroud as a backup, but he's not starting material for a side with title ambitions (which we now apparently are)
surely they wont , Moyes and his losers ( thats you robin ) have gotta be the new whipping boys .... hahahahahah love it.
Haha - probably best you stay away from football related posts, you don't show your ignorance that way.
Agree with some of the posters, Giroud was dire for the most part, the way he also lost the ball in stoppage time for no reason just summed it up. He should've scored that chance at the end of the first half, he deserves the pressure we put on his shoulders, if Arsenal are an elite club as some claim (Toledeo), then Giroud deserves every criticism for missing that chance. It's 3 games without a goal from Giroud now, top quality strikers at top quality elite teams, should be scoring in every other game, at least 1 in every 2.
you are right , you are so clever when it comes to football analysis . that why so many of us on here agree with you ... and why i dedicated my sig just to you .
