At last we're seeing the type of football Harry made his reputation on. In the bigger picture the transformation from last season's bunch of shysters to the fluent and well-balanced team we saw today is nothing short of miraculous given the short time he has had to ship out so many and bring in the replacements, perhaps now he'll be given some credit...

Great thread and very appropriate... anyone who placed any significant blame on Harry for last years debacle was miss informed and deluded. He took over a sinking ship and has done remarkably well. I for one would be delighted for him to stay at our club for as long as he sees fit. Right man to steer us and stabilise us in the future. Its only through his fantastic contacts in the game that we are able to secure such players as Kranjcar and BAE. Top class, long may it continue.

If you go back over the late summer threads and read what flyer wrote about Harry and the signings of Dunne, Henry, O'Neill etc it should tell you all you need to know.
    Serious lack of knowledge

I'm disappointed that he hasn't already achieved automatic promotion.

Harry & the board have without doubt done a superb job over the summer with the various comings/goings & to mold a team in such a short space of time is beyond what I had hoped for so very well done.<cheers>

I like your OP Sooper, good thread starter I say.
We talked about this didn't we at the Brum game? That surely it was just a matter of time until we clicked, we had do get the basics right in the first place and go from there.
Overall Harry has done extremely well to turn the squad around in such a short space of time and I would be happy for him to guide us for as long as he's capable.

    A great Harry Redknapp story:-

Maybe he could take the same approach with a few of our moaners?

The day Harry Redknapp brought a fan on to play for West Ham

According to one of football's most endearing fairytales, Harry Redknapp once pulled an abusive fan from the crowd and put him on the field for West Ham. This allegedly happened in 1994, but no video and scant evidence of the incident exist. Jeff Maysh chased this mystery for over a decade before finally catching up with the fan in question.

Harry Redknapp chats to Steve Davies in the crowd at Oxford in 1994, before sending him on as a substitute.

    Redknapp issues instructions to Davies.

Also, didn't realize that Oxford City played in blue & white hoops.

I'll be delighted to be proved wrong. So 'ave me then. But don't worry boys. I know who you are and what you've said should it be necessary for me to remind anyone in case the wheels do come off at some point. For now, I'll swallow my portion of humble pie and agree that it is going better than any of us (including all you true believers) could ever have dreamed of.

Funnily enough some on here were trying to rub my face in it about AJ after he scored a goal or two. Look what happened there.

    Henry - still a donkey
O'Neill - poor every time I've seen him although I don't believe I said anything bad when he signed.
Dunne - done well but will he do an AJ?

So I've been right about two and we will have to wait about Dunne.

That's my point flyer. You always have to be right. To call Henry a donkey is simply ridiculous IMO.
O'Neill has been played regularly by Harry who has forgotten more about the game than you or I will ever know. I trust Harry's judgement. You should too.
Dunne has been immense and I get the impression your just waiting and hoping for him to get injured so you can say I told you so.
I think it's pretty obvious Flyer that you got it badly wrong regarding our summer signings but you just can't admit it. Instead you continue with your dribble.
Your ranting over the summer about any player who signed over 29 was ludicrous. A team needs balance and our team currently has a great mix. The fact that all of the older players were signed on short term contracts shows a common sense approach.
    Are you ever happy?

Sounds like he or Stephen are doing it all right and well done to him.

I am concerned about Harold that won't go away easily but credit where it's due he has put the club on a solid foundation and there is little doubt that he deserves full credit for that ...

Solid first and that breeds confidence
    And that is everything

Keep it going sir just for getting in Henry was excellent

For me its him leaving us in turmoil in the summer needing 15+ players.

I'm positive he won't be here if we don't go up and pretty sure he won't even if we do go up. We have a very short sighted policy when signing players and my thinking is redknapp doesn't care because he won't have to deal with the consequences.
