When I was in Kenya, there was a local pitch in Lamu which had palm trees all over it and one on the Mombasa cost with big rocks sticking out of the ground - ouch!

When the whole World game is run by so obviously corrupt officials, I can't really see that what might have happened to Redknapp could have any bearing on the decision. :(

If you have two people for a job and one looks as if he could be in prison quite quickly for an unknown period of time you chose the other person. To me it doesn't matter if he is the right man for the job to employ someone and lose them to prison even before they start in the job is foolish. Could Harry Redknapp have organised the England team from a prison cell? I think not.

Not the best of timing from Redknapp as the media will ask the players who they really prefer but doubt he cares if it sells books.

When we play Derby perhaps a chorus of "Any umb-er-ellas, any umb-er-ellas" would be an appropriate welcome for Mr McLaren...

I went there a few years back and saw Partick take on Hearts in just about the worst game ever. It was an area that needed all the help it could get and I assume it still is. Good for them.

Watched them play last night against Hibs - they have definitely improved, play a neat passing style of attacking football but are unfortunately somewhat dire in the final third.

Watching them last night made me think of a 'pub quiz' question - they share two things in common with Watford. One is the club colours, playing in red, black and yellow - but what is the other?

That match I watched was an insipid 0-0 draw with Mo Johnston playing for Hearts. I swear if they we're still playing that match it would still be 0-0. Even worse than a trip to Oxford where we had to wear their shorts and socks because the ref could not distinguish between our royal blue shorts and socks and their (almost black) navy blue. Dreadful games, truly dreadful.

The ground isn't the only thing. The other is Maurice Johnston - we signed him from them.
