We are 10 points ahead of the 8th placed Clubs, with a 5 point gap separating 7th and 8th. Only Wigan's game in hand can immediately reduce that. Good news for us I think.

Great passing. Kranjcar sublime. Foot off the gas from 70 minutes.

Did anyone count the number of consecutive passes in the passage of play that took place circa 65 minutes?

Great to see us really playing football after getting rid of all the wasters from last season - looks like we are finally gelling?

    Someone mentioned 40!

Just looking at mid week fixtures Burnley go to Donny and Leicester go to Yeovil, Watford go to Blackburn, Forest go to Charlton and Reading go to Barnsley....anyone notice a pattern there? Only Blackpool have a home game against Bolton

Just watched Villa's winning goal - absolutely awful display by City defence and the flapping Joe Hart. Back in his time, I'm sure Richard Dunne would have never allowed that sort of thing to happen - great to have him onboard with us.

1631: GOAL- Aston Villa 3-2 Man City - Andreas Weimann (75 mins)
Incredible. Villa lead. Brad Guzan launches the ball up the field after saving an Aleksandar Kolarov shot and, after Libor Kozak gets the faintest of touches, the ball bounces straight through to Andreas Weimann, who runs clear to prod the ball past the onrushing Joe Hart and over the line. The City defence was nowhere to be seen.

Early days but looks like the Premiership could be on its way back to the smoke - could it be Arsenal's year this time round? Not forgetting the Spuds and you know who!

Great result for us today, looks like we've begun to 'gel', at long last. Very encouraging...

So although we missed achieving this feat 1986-87 and 2006-07, we are now in step with the Cicadas with their 17 year cycle, so better late than never - I really hope that Rob Green, assisted by his able defence, can achieve that 8th clean sheet at home to Barnsley on Oct 5th to go into the record books.

Every 17 years, millions of cicadas fill the sky to mate—this is the year..

Quiz question - When was the last time both Manc teams both lost playing on the same day?
In the league - anyone want to take a stab at that one?

The Manc's undone by the west Londoners!

Great display by the team today. OK, young Carroll made one or two slips but was very energetic in his recovery and the team covered him well. I think that was the best performance of a QPR team that I have seen for many a season.

Fantastically well done Harry and the lads.

Some of the passing football was a joy to behold and quite simply brilliant.

Would have liked to see a goal or three in the Loft end in the second half but that is probably just being greedy.

A very proud and happy QPR fan today.

Couldn't make the game as I'm still sorting out my new house, but it sounds like the team played as a unit.

Looking forward to the reports from the lads there. Who made the difference, kancjar or Faurlin?
