is that McDermott was Shaun Harvey's choice and came with a decent CV, but GFH have probably realised it was a mistake and want to sack him, but are scared to do it because he has such strong support from the fans.

The fans set the club back years by keeping Grayson in a job and history could repeat itself with McDermott.

If GFH have anything about them they won't care and do the right thing, but we've all seen how much they love PR.

Name a better manager who would come to us and take over the shower of crap we already have while being told the pot is empty. Get serious Clive there isn't a better manager out there who would want to take this job.

I only asked you to name a better manager who would take on the challenge - and you wonder why people get pissed with you.

I'm the one who gets pissed off with comedy managers turning up at our club, making terrible transfers, getting rotten results and yet being idolised by the fans who won't even entertain the idea that there could be a better manager out there.

It doesn't matter who I mention because they'll get run down and I'll be called an idiot. I called for Malky Mackay to replace Grayson when he was still at Watford and everyone ran him down, someone probably still will now.

Gary McAllister is free and he has unfinished business here.

But you still haven't named a manager that's available that would do a better job...

How is Gary McAllister, a man who hasn't been able to get any managerial work in years, going to do a better job with the players we have?

    Lets be perfectly honest here.
Simon Grayson was the best manager we had and have had in years.

Under McDermott we simply have the weakest Leeds team for as long as I can remember.
Full of brute force maybe but not an ounce of skill between them.

Forget the top of the championship, better looking out to avoid the trap door

Talk about his ability, not about whether he's had a job recently or not.

What did he do wrong when he was here?

Failed to get promotion then got knocked out of the FA Cup by the mighty Histon.

    Pretty bad that.

That's not what he did wrong, that's just results.

He didn't even have a full season in charge.

I can tell you what McDermott has done wrong. He's wasted a million pounds on a midfielder we didn't need, signed two strikers and still left us desperate for a striker!

and what makes you think he didn't go for some decent strikers?

Not all players/clubs are going to agree terms.

If you take anybody and everybody you end up with Luke Varney, Lee Peltier, Stephen Warnock, Jason Pearce and Paul Green.

You just have no concept of the bigger picture.

He's signed Murphy for a million and he hasn't impressed.

    Hunt and Smith are garbage.

We've got worse since Wooton replaced Tom Lees.

Our worst players are McDermott signings, if he's tried and failed to sign better players then he's not able to attract top players, so whatever way you look at it he looks bad.

The reason he is available is because of attitudes like yours.

He proved to be a good manager with us and when he took sole charge of Villa they won at Arsenal and beat Liverpool.

It's amazing how some decent managers get run down and some garbage ones get talked up. Look at the reaction when Hughes was linked to us. Don't tell me he wouldn't be better than McDermott.

Alex McLeish is free and much better than McDermott, why not run him down now.

Time to turn the internet off clive, you just said Mark Hughes would be a better manager for us than Brian McDermott...

For me our worst player is Pugh our best defender Wootton and our best midfielder is probably Murphy. McDermott has succeeded with two and failed with two IMHO and that is all it is, opinions. I also agree with the above comment on Mark Hughes - He is the biggest joke manager there is.

I'm assuming that you never seen Leeds play under McAllister. He fielded the worst defence in the history of Leeds and even though people were screaming at him about it, he changed nothing. That's why he went - his team lost far too many goals.

Tonge has been better than Murphy and Murphy cost a million pounds.

Wooton has yet to convince, too.

Pugh is so far out of the picture he doesn't count but I bet he'd score more goals than Hunt or Smith.

    And who signed Pugh?

McAllister had 11 months, Grayson couldn't sort out the defence in 3 years.

McDermott is unable to get the team to score goals and that's worse.

And before you come back and talk about giving McDermott time, he's had the same amount of transfer windows as McAllister had.
