So...West Ham has 5 points in 6, their next three are Spurs away, City home, Swansea away, and they've played an easier schedule than most to start. Big Sam might be chewing that gum a little harder.
Very good win. Next five are Swansea (H), United (A), Fulham (H), Stoke (A), Hull (H), three wins or two wins and two draws would put us in very good shape going into a tough run through to the new year.
Why would they say that..? Poch's tactics of play are hugely based on Marcelo Bielsa's philosophy. Bielsa is a bit of a football god in South America and Spain.
Great result but I thought we were poor for much of that game, the defence looked the worst it has all season and there wasn't much creativity. Interesting to read praise for wanyama thought his passing and touch were dreadful. Holds 1 man away from the ball well and can win a few challenges but he's been too **** too often in the last 4 matches its not good enough to do good things and then gift possession to the opposition if the ref had have played an obvious advantage they would have been in on goal. he gives the ball away way too much in our half through bad touches stupid freekicks, once a game should be the absolute maximum, his passing was poor too many times as well. I don't really like schneiderlin forward either I think we have better options for that central creative player and he should be playing deeper alongside cork. Great freekick and decent shot by osvaldo that should have been saved, really nothing to be too pleased about performance wise but the result was good.
Haven't a clue, it is pretty obvious that the way we play is inspired by Bielsa. Guess some people just don't see it.
http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/229542-Our-Slow-Build-Up?, its discussed towards the end of this thread if you want to take a look. There might be similarities, I don't know much about bielsa, but the analysis in the article was rubbish regarding southampton
'But it was a stonewall penalty to us' is what Allardyce will again be moaning about tonight! Either way it is not going to change their position in the league. Loving the 4's today with us 4th and with 4 clean sheets in a row. COYS!
Palace were poor and wanyama while he didn't play any worse did nothing to suggest he has improved on his touch and passing, his awareness may or may not have improved - he wasn't put under much pressure.
Robbie Fowler has just apologised on BBC 1 for something he said earlier. Anyone know what it was he said?
