fair call, I wouldn't be that concerned as I think that we have progressed and this first half has been a fiarly monor step backwards in an otherwise positive development towards more direct quicker football. TBH it pisses me off pochettino talking about bringing in davis because he wants more possession (not sure they were his exact words), davis is a decent player but I think we would be better off with rodriguez or ramirez.
Yeah, but that's only really two chances...one from a bad clearance, and another a shot from the edge of the area. The handball claim wasn't much of one.
I'd prefer to give Ramirez a chance than Rodriguez. He's capable of creating something, whereas Rodriguez will run around but ultimately flounder with his first-touch and a lack of confidence to have a go.
Very few teams score a lot and concede few, even the very best teams. We're very very solid now, and we dominate most teams in terms of posesion. However we have had to sacrifice our atack at all cost way of play. For me the key to playing this way is early goals, get that and we will be fine. Either way we're still going to do pretty well I can't see us being turnt over often however it just won't be quite as exciting as before which is a shame.
Sorry to sound pessimistic but not convinced Gaston is the answer - having a good game against Bristol City has no relevance against a side like Palace.
