Football is just a reflection of society. Chances are people did it in the 80s because they knew they could get away with it. The image of the England fan has also drastically changed since the 80s. Less and less people act out now and most of the discrimination and abuse goes on behind closed doors. Thought not said.
How do you think I felt buddy, I went to school in fulham and chelsea as moved there as a spurs fan, every day was a spurs v chelsea war LOL I had to put up with crap like mark stein scoring to beat us in derbies and when they got matthew harding, their fans turned all "Posh"...high and mighty, they will always do whatever they can to wind up spurs fans!

Not really. Naughton is obviously out of his depth at left back. Townsend has been poor recently and doesn't deserve to start imo. I'd have played Holtby over Sig. Luiz is playing though so there's hope.

Was a bit surprised by our line up. Ramires looks as if he'll be wide right which is not his best position. We can convert that team to 433 though with Oscar moving to the right which he did often last season.
Rose missing out is really damaging, unfortunately. The left side just isn't balanced at all with Naughton and Sigurdsson playing together. Kaboul failing to make the squad is something of a worry for Thursday, too. I really don't want any of our first XI travelling to Dagestan. Be interesting to see how Chelsea line up. Looks a bit odd on paper. Ramirez and Mikel deep with Lampard playing further forward, maybe? Slight waste if the former's on the right.

Starting sig was a waste today. He'll be marked out of the game. To start naughton behind him aswell.... I don't think the way we've set up will be enough to break Chelsea down. Personally, I think we should have started sandro and lamela for sig and dembele.
