Pretty sure I answered your question.

Are you a liar that you know "a couple of people" who didn't go to the Huddersfield match because of the name change?
No I'm not calling you a liar.

Does "you knowing a couple of people on that basis" equate to the missing 14,000 on that particular night???

Do I really need to answer that?

The club will never hold a vote, they know it woukd receive a massive no.

The September FLAG meeting was never arranged, presumably because Nick doesn't want a face to face with the fans at the moment. There is supposed to be one coming up and I've asked if there's any chance of getting Assem to make an appearance. I assume he's going to say no.

    Gentleman... let's recap.

    Hull City supporters.

If they had to be pushed through one of two doors and the two doors were headed up....

Will Not Support The Name Change Under Any Circumstances
Do Not Like The Name Change But Will Not Oppose It.

You will find the majority of supporters go through the latter door.

That is what they will be doing when they will be walking past the minority "Will Not Support The Name Change" handing out their badges this afternoon.

    Clear?

Well done, that was easy wasn't it. Perhaps you can explain how me saying that a few people I know didn't go to the Huddersfield match suddenly becomes 14,000. I didn't say that in my original post.

In my post about the attendance I explained why I thought the attendance was down. To me it seemed fairly balanced.

I don't put words in your mouth so why do you put words I never said or implied in mine?

Lesson 2, if you are going to debate make sure you answer the points someone raises, not create a straw man that is easy to knock down.

There are many doors, the world isn't black and white but many shades of grey as well. People will walk past us today for all sorts of reasons. Some of those who walk past may join us in the future, some may not.

Lesson 3 the aim of campaigning is to build support. If everyone joined you at the same time you wouldn't need to campaign.

Campaigns usually raise support through increasing awareness.
Do you think that any Hull City supporters are not aware of the name change?

The reality is that 99% are aware, and majority of them don't care.
I can't recall any on this board thus far who have switched camp from the "don't care" to the "will not accept" as most fans seem to have decided their position as soon as it was announced.

Tubby doesn't want the owners to change the name of the club.

For some reason he also doesn't want supporters, who have the same view as him regarding the name change, voicing their concerns about the the club changing the name to something that he doesn't want.

What makes you think he may be acting a ****? The ****.

I have brought this up before, but I believe it is relevant to mention it again; why are you prepared to attend a FLAG meeting at the beck and call of AA? If all of the associated groups involved (are they similar to the 'No Change' Group , with the exception of the OSG?) are determined to campaign and set out their stall then surely they must make meetings a negotiable commodity, rather than an agenda set by AA. He is playing you all for time and the campaign format plays right into his hands. Every match were there is no organised, in stadium, protest will simply endorse the wider view that most are apathetic and that AA should have his way.

An "in stadium" protest would be ideal, especially in front of the cameras. Would the club allow it ?

Lesson 4, don't mistake not joining in as not caring.

We have gone from a sparsely attended march at Cardiff City to handing out leaflets and badges today. All of which have been paid for. At the end of today we will review what we've done and what we've achieved. In all likelihood our support, both active and passive, will have grown over the past fortnight.

April is the time to see if we have been successful or not. There's a while to go before then.

I've also been through this before....

Allam will not change his mind on this. If he were to be put in a position where the overwhelming amount of supporters forced him to re-think, then this would result in him selling up and moving on.

I like many others think Allam is the best owner we've ever had, and therefore do not want the campaign to succeed on the basis of what that would mean for Allams future with the club.

It's not an insult, in my opinion someone repeatedly trying to create an argument where one doesn't exist, (or in this case where you're actually 100% agreeing with what I put<doh>) is, without any shadow of doubt a sadsack. There's nothing contradictory in what I put, even when you tried to post it out of context.

Do yourself and the rest of us a favour, find someone else to pester because you're not even good enough at it to ber an interesting challenge, and you're cluttering the place up. <ok>
