Millwall players Alan Dunne and Scott McDonald have set the tone for Leeds Unitedâs visit to London by talking up the depth of the rivalry between the clubs. Right-back Dunne â a veteran of numerous games involving Leeds and Millwall â claimed âbragging rightsâ would be at stake tomorrow while McDonald looked forward to his first taste of a clash which he expects to resemble a derby. United and Millwallâs meetings have a tendency to produce drama and controversy. Leeds were robbed by a late Chris Wood goal at the New Den last season after losing Luke Varney to a dodgy red card. Dunne, said: âItâs a fantastic game and any player would be lying if they said theyâre not buzzing to play in a Millwall v Leeds match at The Den. âOur games over the years have been brilliant to play in and weâve developed a rivalry which means bragging rights are at stake. We want to come out on top.â McDonald, who joined Millwall on a free transfer from Middlesbrough this summer, said: âIt is like a derby. Iâve watched Millwall play Leeds on the telly a few times and theyâre pretty feisty games. Iâm looking forward to being a part of that.â
