I'm praying Chevanton starts, not because I think he's any good but because it would indicate a much needed change of tactics from HR. However, with Hoilett back I think he will stick with one up top and attack down both flanks.

I see Onuoha is still out which is a shame.

With Phillips out I bet SWP manages to get another game.

He’s like a turd that wont flush away. All these signings we’ve made and he still gets a game!!!

Harsh, Peter. SWP has been one of the better players this season. True, he cuts inside too often, and I'd love to see him take defenders on a bit more, but his play (especially his tracking back) has been good so far this season, and he's certainly there on merit instead of via some mysterious conspiracy.

i just hope we see more of a 4-2-3-1 rather than 4-5-1.

Our full backs are good and quick enough to get up and down. If the two wide men sit too deep no support for charlie and closes the pitch up for full backs.

I'm hoping that Niko gets a start in that advanced role. Joey with Ale/Henry can hold that middle.

Fancy a goal fest tomorrow , 2-0 to the super hoops.

I don't know about that Dave but he has admitedly been better. I still think he must have been one of the most over-rated players ever but at least he always makes an effort which was more than can be said of someof last years lot.

Good to hear! Think he gets stick because of what he may have been once, but whatever his limitations he always seems to work hard back, and his speed usually worries and draws in defenders, even tho end product is often lacking.

A lot of the stick was brought upon himself by the terrible performances at the start of his QPR career. He's done everything asked of him so far this season though, and has actually provided a much needed boost to the side from the bench on a number of occasions.

There's certainly no grounds for criticising him, but i'd still see Hoillet + Phillips getting the nod on the wings when fully fit. They're just too talented and youthful.

I think last week showed that we really do require someone in the holding role in the middle, we looked far too attack minded last week with no one doing the dirty work of shielding the back four. For all of his supposed limitations Karl Henry is ideally suited to that role, partner him with either Barton or Faurlin and then give those in front licence to attack.....we really should be going 4231....

In Harry's PC he said M.Phillips will have a late fitness test, so you never know! It was just a jarred arm from a fall V Yeovil, so I reckon he's 60% likely to start tomorrow. If fit... I'd go for:

    Green

    Simpson Hill Dunne BAE

    Barton Henry

    M.Phillipps O'niel Hoillet

    Austin

Then when hoillet or Phillips inevitably tire in the 2nd half, we can switch O'niel to the wing, and bring on Chevanton up front to go 442.

I recall him starting very well under Colin, having a good goal ruled out offside, being unlucky, then losing confidence and form.

Swp's debut against Newcastle gave us a glimpse of what we might expect from him. His strengths in that game were running onto through balls towards goal, rather than getting down the line, beating a man or two and getting a cross in. I don't think he will supply the goods for us in a wide role. His tracking back is second to none, he can't be faulted for that, but an attacking player can't be chosen on his defensive merits alone. If there isn't a more central role for him, he isn't a first name on the sheet for me.

I would like to see Shariff get a game ahead of SWP, at home at any rate. With all the experience in the side we can afford to put an inexperienced player in there. SWP has put his shift in - his experience etc did help against Leeds, for instance - but I just can't see him making too many chances which is really the point of a winger.
