Forget the politicians. It's about the future of Scotland and the UK. Politicians are here today, gone tomorrow but this is a possible once-in-a-lifetime chance to choose a future which you think is best.
actually not at all true, you could count on one hand the number of times, in our lifetime, the scottish voters have had an influence on the westminster result.
One of these days Trevor will lay out his reasons for wanting Scotland to stay in the UK without acting like a Tourette's victim when it's brought up.
I have kind of suspected for a while you are at the wind up with a lot of your comments on this subject just to get a rise from me or ST also RE shetland http://www.newsnetscotland.com/inde...203-northern-isles-are-scottish-say-islanders Sorry about the ****e source but i cant be arsed hunting for the original opinion poll and that was the first result on google.
agreed, voting in the referendum is the single most important thing most people will ever do in their worthless and insignificant lives.
Obviously if the split is acrimonious ye have to get lawyers involved. But, if ye can agree who gets what between ye's then ye don't need the lawyers. Wait, 12 years ago, 6 years ago....
Why the **** would anyone want to break up their country keyring? No point in asking someone who hates their own country actually
Fair enough. Should Scotland win independence, one likely consequence is that Labour will shift to the right in an attempt to win greater support from English voters, who are generally perceived to lie to the right of their Scottish counterparts. Thus, those who want Labour to win again and to do so on a social democratic programme have every interest in preserving the Union. With Labour moving to the right the only difference between them and the Tories would be public spending. Like I said, If you ****s leave the union we're ****ed doon here. Thanks, thanks a ****ing lot ****s
Yet my country was broke up and you probably support that. Remember you compared the flag coming down in Belfast with Muslims taking the flag down in London? You haven't a clue Trebor, you are the Scottish equivalent of flag waving Prods here, they know what they are against but haven't the faintest idea of what they are for.
A yes vote means never being saddled with a government we didnt vote for ever again . It means an end to the ever increasingly right wing doctrine that those governments follow affecting us . It also means the end of nuclear weapons in our country . It will give us a chance at a fairer society something that will never happen if we stay in the union . It a no brainer . VOTE YES you ****s
