Just been asked if there's any pubs that away fans can drink at that's safe? For the Wet Spam game this week. Been asked about the Griffin too if it's safe?

They can go down Prinny Ave, or Old Town or Brickmakers Arms across from the ground.

Have seen away supporters drinking inside and outside Brickmakers Arms across from the ground.
    No problems at all.

Safe! Who for? The last time they came here they didn't behave like they were worried about being safe! :)

I'll always recommend the Lion and Key in the Old Town for both home and away fans - if you like good real ale. When it's West Ham though I don't think 'safe' is a word that's in the dictionary.

Send them to the Pipe and Glass in Dalton and tell them all our pubs are like that.

Actually that's a Northern myth there are lots of excellant pubs in London and the South East with every type of beer you can think of - many from a long way North of Watford. If you happen to like Sam Smiths they have quite a few historical old pubs in central London which are also amongst the cheapest Citte of York in Holborn, Dover Castle in Marylebone spring to mind. But as I say whatever your favorite tipple is you can probably get it somewhere in London.

My memory must be playing up. I always thought the pub was on a roundabout. Looked at google and it's on a y junction. It's still Sam Smiths and cheap. (Not much of a contribution this but eh it's Friday)

    You're right and it is a Y-junction. It's a triangular 'roundabout' - with a one-way system around it.

It is indeed a roundabout, it's just not a round one.

I was there yesterday, you take your life in your hands when you try getting from Avenue Road to the Finchley Road.
