A host of clubs are battling to sign Queens Park Rangers starlet Frankie Sutherland on loan.

Sutherland was promoted to QPR's first-team squad after impressing manager Harry Redknapp during pre-season - but he is yet to feature this term and the club are now looking for him to gain first-team experience.

The Irish Under-21 international had a brief spell with Portsmouth last season and a move to League One is believed to be in the offing again.

The likes of Wolves, Walsall, Leyton Orient, Milton Keynes Dons and Crewe Alexandra are all reported to be keen on snapping up the 19-year-old.

A spokesman for Kentaro, who represent Sutherland, told Sky Sports: "There has been a lot of interest in Frankie as his ability and attitude are qualities clubs are bound to be interested in.

"We will assess the most suitable option with QPR in order to continue his development."

Supposedly very good. A shame he's not had more of a chance given Hoilett's injuries and SWP's lack of ability.

Another one we won't get to see properly this year. I can understand him needing pitch time, and I suppose he plays in the position where we have plenty of cover, but its a bit frustrating. Would be great to have one (or more) of our own as a regular(ish) part of a promotion team.

I think a loan move would be pointless unless we want to follow it with a sale. If he's ever going to be a good player for QPR it's now.

Can clubs loan to other Championship clubs?

Surely that would be the best thing for his development and would give Redknapp the chance to judge him at an equivalent level?

If he's in high demand then surely that's not unrealistic?

Just give him a run the side and see how he shapes up?

Lol. That's my stupid question of the week quota filled!

Queens - my point is more around him proving himself at this level rather than dropping a division.

More akin to Wellbeck being in demand from other Prem clubs when he went to Sunderland - if he hadn't got that experience in the same division that United are in then he'd have kept going out on loan until he did.

Here Here. There's a young enough player with an actual QPR contract already called Faurlin who should be ahead of Carroll. Faurlin certainly isn't lightweight.

Strikers don't always have to be heavy though. I'd definitely keep Frankie around the team, especially since he's one of three strikers available.

Faurlin would be in my starting line up and allowed to play but would have to have Henry also

... The midfield team that played against Wednesday would be my starting midfield at home

Harold said recently that he had the likes of Faurlin on the bench no getting a game ... Well Harold why is that plus you also have Jenas both very good players ... You can't make this crap up

Then he pleads that we need a CB and CF

If we go up then he will build another team

Don't we come back to the question of Is promotion the B all & End all for this season?

If it is a necessity to go up this time then our younger players won't be played. If we were looking to build for the future, then Sutherland, Hariman etc. should already be in our side.

Personally, I would prefer the latter but Harry won't.
