Rumours that Neil Danns going on loan to Bolton........... Just need to get rid of the parasite Gallagher now!
Apparently Gallagher is in talks with us over a new 4 year contract. He hopes to see out his career at Leicester. lol
****ing hell Danns cant stand to spend time away from Beckford Matt Mills, Jermaine Beckford and Neil Danns 3 cancers of the Sven era all link up again at Bolton Dougie might have signed his death warrant
I signed up to a Bolton forum to tell them they'd signed a right pile of crap with Mills. They told me I was 'bitter'. I logged back on to tell them they'd signed another pile of crap with Beckford. They told me we'd been using him wrong and he was obviously 'class'. Looks like i've got to go back now.
It's official, Danns to Bolton on a 3 month loan deal. Wonder how much of his wages they are covering... Anyways, thanks Bolton, for taking so much deadwood off our hands And you wonder why you're bottom of the league!?
Thought something must be in the offing when he wan't even in the squad for the Derby game ... Bolton need something - will be interesting to see how he gets on - Mill, Beckford and Danns all together ...
It's been confirmed http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24281656 As above, hopefully Gallagher will be next.
I doubt Gally is in any hurry to go anywhere where he might be in danger of actually having to play ... it's a dangerous game is football and you can end up getting hurt ... why risk a skinned shin in preference to the wifey merely having to review a fes splinters from your arras every now and then?
I get what you say about Mills,Danns & Beckford but to slate Gally that way is totally out of order ! SGE offered Gally the renewal & increased terms on his contract & Gally signed it, so why castigate him for it ? He is not a parasite, he merely accepted an improved contract offer from his employer's & a supposedly competent team manager ? I totally agree he is surplus to requirements but to put him into the same bracket as those chancers is totally out of order IMHO. What would you Gally Slaters do if your boss at work offered you a massive improvement to your T&C's/pay then a management change mean't that your work load reduced drastically ? Would you pack your job in for a massive reduction in income or would you sit it out & wait for a chance to prove your worth or failing that negotiate a suitable redundancy package ?
I think it's more the fact he hasn't asked for first team football. We used to hear from him every ****ing day when he was playing, he couldn't help but put himself in the media's spotlight. Now he's on a nice bumper contract he's not bothered if he's playing or not. He knows we need to get him off the books but he's not budging. He could bite the bullet, say to Nige that he wants first team football and he'd be on loan to a lower Championship club by tomorrow morning.
.. all very noble BFM but your soapbox is on rather dodgy grund - you can't possibly equate footballers to the man in the street and his workplace etc - Gally's monthly wage is likely to be considerably more than the average YEARLY wage in the UK .... now I can only speak personally, but if I was on that kind of money I'd actually want to PLAY football - as a playing career is relatively short - retirement usually happens around 40 with plenty of time to find another career and for Gally with mortgage on very large house completely paid off and plenty of readies in the bank - the option of then doing bugger all unless you want to ... I wouldn't call him a 'parasite' personally, but he is a footballing 'mercenary' (as are most footballers these days) ... he could have accepted a lower wage and joined another club and STILL have been earning more in a month that the yearly average wage in this country ... so I won't be getting my tissues out in sympathy at his unfortunate predicament anytime soon - poor love ...
Gally was given the improved contract by Sven before FFP was brought in. At the time, he was a valuable asset. Now, he's a burden. The fact he is currently an unwelcome drain on our resources isn't in doubt, however, how much of it is his 'fault' is not known. We don't know for sure that he hasn't asked to go out on loan - he has done so before. We don't know he's not asked for a move - perhaps there just isn't the interest, particularly in the current market. Unless I missed it, he hasn't had a Danns-esque moan on twitter or anything similar. But whether he's a villain or not is somewhat irrelevant - the important thing is that it will benefit our club if he's offloaded. That said, I wonder if the set of fans on Gally's back are the same as those saying the squad is too small. Gally is professional enough to keep himself fit should he be needed. Whether he's still good enough at this level, however, remains to be seen but I feel pretty sure he's not as good as his wages would suggest.
What struck me is that there isn't even a mention of Dann's loan on the club site - as far as I can see.
Nigel Pearson on why he's letting Danns go out on loan ... http://www.thisisleicestershire.co.uk/story-19852893-detail/story.html#axzz2fuZJNkIn ... perhaps the most interesting bit in the article is Dougie Freedman's take ...
The most interesting bit for me... "He (NP) said he would also be open to Paul Gallagher heading out on loan." "Gally is a low-maintenance player. He always works exceptionally hard in training, and there is no doubt he will need some games at some stage. "If there was an opportunity, I would certainly consider it."
