Horse puncher in court today

A man accused of punching a police horse after fans clashed with officers following a Tyne-Wear derby has denied violent disorder.

Barry Rogerson, 45, of Hartlands, Bedlington, was charged after trouble flared in Newcastle city centre when the Magpies lost 3-0 to Sunderland.

The horse, Bud, of West Yorkshire's mounted section, was not hurt in the incident on 14 April.

Mr Rogerson pleaded not guilty at Newcastle Magistrates' Court.

He was granted conditional bail and will appear before Newcastle Crown Court on 23 September.

 

Why is he in court? Why are tax £££'s being wasted on this?? If you "brutally assault" a human (my wife) the person responsible gota minor slap on the wrist, a 6 month caution and nothing more. Yet if you assault a horse with a single punch you end up in court on a public order offence??

I hate british justice system - they will go out of their way to make an example of someone who is in the public eye - but someone who, to me, commits far worse, get's nothing but a slap on the wrist

 

hope they start by stopping this low life's benefits.

also, about his claim he was only wearing the scarf around his mouth because of a filling he had done...well, the denists around sid james park, must have been heaving that day going by the amount of "fans" wearing scarfs around their mouths.

 

Not guilty?

It's off to the crown court anyway. Probably custodial.

Silly twat, still added to his sentence by pleading not guilty in the first place. Not blessed with brains is he?

 

You could say the same of his solicitor narl

 

Rule number one of getting nicked, never use a duty solicitor. If you've no choice never let your duty solicitor take the full case

 

Rule number two, never punch a police horse in the face

 

Rule number 3, don't do a tv interview before your case has been heard

 

Rule number four, divvent blame toothache when you havnt been to the dentist, ever
