Young Sam Twister just hasnt sussed out how to judge a race yet... He must have looked a dozen times through his legs and over his shoulder... Pushed out well in the end but i bet his little heart was going ten to the dozen...!!!

Newmarket 4.50. I'll take a chance with Annina ew. Won easily on début as a 2yo on GF ground. Well beaten on soft on reappearance. Probably needed the run and may have disliked the ground. By that very tough sire Singspiel out of Lysandrs who was by Danehill out of a Nashwan mare. Tasty pedigree (on paper). Not a particularly generous price at 13/2 but felt the need to pick something.

I'm keeping a very close on eye on the market for debutant 4.40 Pontefract Man Of Harlech 4/1. A half brother to 8 winners including 3 Group 3 winners, he definitely has the pedigree to win this but I'm slightly worried if he'll be forward enough as Andrew Balding's juveniles normally come on for their first run and the market should definitely prove informative.

5.25 Newmarket La Fortunata 16/1 is exposed and on a career high mark but she'll definitely be able to bag the near side rail and if Mick Murphy can get the fractions right from the front then I think this tough and admirable mare could prove quite difficult to pin back. A dual C+D winner including this race back in 2011, La Fortunata is in belting form at the moment with 5 excellent runs from her last 6 and having won at Goodwood off a 6lb lower mark 3 starts back she was a narrowly beaten 2nd off this mark 2 starts ago at Epsom. Although some unexposed and progressive types are against her today, I think she could take quite a bit of passing with the rail to help and 16/1 looks a big price for Mike Murphy's 6 year old who has his horses in good form. Of the others, I think Misplaced Fortune 14/1 could run a big race for the in form Nigel Tinkler and I've done a RFC on the pair.
