That too, if Diame's clause is really 4 mil and the way they may be in trouble, I would look into it. WBA might be looking for too much for mulumbu. I know many can argue and I have seen it from last nights match, but I look at our midfield and the options, I generally only feel good about Coutinho. I still think Gerrard works best in a free role, Lucas is good cover but that is largely it and maybe someone like a Diame could also look to cover and surge forward? I don't know, when you go from Mascher, Alonso, Gerrard to a new deeper gerrard ( which I don't particularly like), Lucas ( still not the same after the injury), and Hendo ( lord does that boy work his ass off but is it enough?) it just doesn't feel strong. Old saying, " Show me your midfield, and I will show you your team" sort of rings true here.
