Bull!! Game was a lot closer, Newcastle will beat a lot of Prem teams at St James' so not unhappy at all. Ross hitting the bar ... well imagine if that had gone in ... fragile barcodes may have imploded, but that bit of luck turned them around. MOT!!!
How did nillwall get on tonight TC ?.Did you have a freight rover game or what ever it is the little teams play in ?.
****ing traffic. Shut the bastard a1 for road works. Was a decent game. Only highlighted what wingers and wide players bring to a team. Bar codes passed the ball very well going forward. Back to winning ways on Saturday.
Try again TC,Forest made 11 changes to their team to play nillwall couldn't of played a more reserve team.Newcastle on the other hand only made 6 changes.and the team that played cost 40 to 50 million.
Well they only played one player who hasn't played in the prem for them this season and that was williamson. No doubt it wasn't a full strength side from them though.
We huffed and we puffed and got what we deserved. Ifs, buts and maybes don't win games. We've been scraping games and we've been lucky in a lot of matches. We all know what we need to improve the side, but either they aren't out there or the owners are acting the bollox and just paying lip service to us fans and Maccer. But there is one thing for sure, the natives will start getting restless if we start losing more games.
Well said Shaks. The players are out there but Leeds are not a big attraction anymore to top players. That coupled with the fact were still broke and we just cant wont attract the good ones. Some of the players people here are wishing for are bordering on farcical. When is the last real quality signing we made? I cant remember anymore. GFH talk of looking for investors is a fancy way of saying we've nothing, will someone help. Bates couldn't get one in eight years ffs
You've been brainwashed into thinking the only way to possibly get out of this league is with massive outside investment. Why on earth do you think that?
You're assuming that all the money the club makes was being invested in the team, which we know it wasn't because it was being skimmed off the top and invested in building work. How many times do I have to explain this pretty simple concept?
Could be because Cardiff spent £11M last season (and their team was already knocking on the door) http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/cardiff-city/transfers-alle/verein_603.html Hull spent £7M http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/hull-city/transfers-alle/verein_3008.html Palace got very lucky and will be straight back down despite spending nearly £20M Hull and Cardiff were bankrolled by outside investment (as are Palace) - Leeds cannot compete with these clubs (Add Leicester, Forest, Watford, Reading, QPR, Blackburn) into the mix - all spending fortunes of their owners money - and you get the jist
Reading, Southampton, Norwich, Blackpool, all spent less than we can potentially afford with all money going into the team as it becomes available. There's a massive difference between what we can spend this season and what we can spend next season just on account of the season ticket mortgage. Not to mention the players contracts that will expire. A lot of mediocre players leaving at the end of this season freeing up space for better players. We'll also hopefully be able to get a decent fee for Morison if he manages to have a good season for the wallies. It all adds up. This club can do it without help from the outside. Ffp has put an end to free spending clubs like Cardiff and Leicester anyway. The club is still in a financial mess, just want people to stop moaning and be patient. This is kens legacy.
