This is a weak post and therefore defending it is going to be tricky.

I don't think anyone is getting carried away, the "Gloomy Tunes" are still running rampant on this board.

Having said that, which team in the PL do you think should be getting carried away right now?

 

To be fair when i read the OP i read it exactly like the spurs fans on here have... For me it is blatantly clear that The Magic Man was trying to get some spuds to bite.

As for the thread in general - No-one is getting carried away and i have no idea where that idea has come from - even the most positive fans on this board are being very cautious with our optimism!

 

I feel that when I posted this, I may possibly have been a bit bored and may possibly have injected a tiny little bit of goading into it, but the overall gist of the post is partially correct.

 

I would certainly argue the case that Villa are historically a bigger club than Spurs any day of the week, but you could possibly argue otherwise.

 

Who cares if the Spurs fans feel goaded ? This is the Arsenal board after all and we've just beaten them, so we're allowed to define them as we see fit

As for not getting carried away, I agree. We've had a good start and we've put a lot of the doom mongers in their place for a while at least, but our squad is still to be tested through the season. We've got a few injuries now and we're feeling just how thin our squad is. The real tests are still to come, but we have got reason to be optimistic.

 

This is clearly a wum thread, and spurs fans have shown their lack of intelligence by biting on the bait.

If HIAG got banned for a deliberate wum thread, then surely Magic Man must follow suit?

I haven't changed a jot. Look through all the past posts and see the proof. It's you lot who've changed. I'm posting the same stuff i was 3 years ago.
