Laudrup put a team out that he thought was capable of winning the match. The bottom line was that we just weren't good/clinical enough.
I very much agree with you there, have a feeling we need a quality rotation option for the central defense, lets hope Amat improves his game ... although I dont think he is bad.
Any one of those back four, can be a reasonable stand in, when needed, but all four are a disaster waiting, none on current form, would get past our first backline, by the way I hope we are not going to roll out Monk any more this season, the guy is way past it!...................
well how do we know they threw it ? performance level only needs to drop a few percent and all of a sudden you have two equal teams , then it comes down to who wants it more, us who already have the winners medels or them who want to kick start their season by knocking out the media darlings and coc cup holders ? laudrup will be pissed but on the other hand maybe not, maybe he was happy for the players to go through the motions knowing that the europ league is now almost dead cert of qualifying out of the group after getting 3 bonus points . Laudrup stated 3 wins are enough to get out of the group,makes you wonder but we will never know .

Looking through the threads it did not take long before you started insults and start to pick on someone else (gendros for one) I knew it would happen as wallies like some of you are nothing but children trying to be adults and cant take it if others got different views.. Im enjoying sitting in the background watching you make fools of yourselves and can mow see why there are 10 times more jacks do that than play children's games with a bunch of wallies...It would not surprise me to see my rep increase now as it usually does putting you kids in your place.. On the match we were poor from start to finish but we will get the usual excuses. the truth is no team wins all the time and every team has a bad game now and then.....its not a problem its only a game of football and not life or death and we will see more bad games before the season ends....thats the nature of football i'm afraid....

Didn't see match but on the radio it sounded like we missed chances and new player combinations let us down. Disappointing for Cup Holders to go out so weakly. Even though it would have been a long shot I suspect this would have been our best chance to return to Europe next year and keep the interest of our star players and Manager for another season. Sounded like a number of individuals and combinations did not go well. Feel most sorry for Tremmel, how many games will he get this season?

This could be a massive blessing in disguise; battling on two fronts is hard, three is harder! The Prem and Europa League are the priorities and, if we were to have a further cup run, would rather it be the FA Cup! Was a shame to not be able to defend our title but, to be honest, am not that disappointed!
Swansea best chance of going into European competitions (and maybe keeping the manager too) is by winning the Europa League and playing CL next season!
