    Aside from goalkeeper clearances, I'm not sure I saw one long ball. We were stringing literally 50 consecutive passes together at least three times.

    Fine with that. Think its always worth taking on the biggest earlier, when they have clear priorities elsewhere. What you want is a home draw, that's what usually screws us.

    Didn't hear anything about that. I thought there was enough police on duty to put any ideas of violence out of peoples minds. Seems an odd place to start fighting when there's so many pubs in the area.

    Thought Sammy had a good game and he looked good in the warm up, great skills and confidence again.

    Vuckic looked really fit and I'd have liked to see him on sooner.

    Both goals were created by Sammy Ameobi who started and impressed as United made six changes to the side that had lost at the weekend.

    Team: Krul, Debuchy, Williamson, Coloccini, Dummett, Gouffran, Anita (Gosling 80), Tiote, Marveaux, Sa.Ameobi, Cisse (Obertan 71).
    Subs n/u: Alnwick, Yanga-Mbiwa, Bigirimana, Vuckic, Ben Arfa.

    Goals: Cisse 31, Gouffran 67.

    Crowd 36,220.

    Thought the crowd was a bit bigger than that, but I suppose after what we've watched lately it's not too bad for a midweek evening KO.
