Reminiscing as I was I remembered something from way back - can anyone remember watching Wonder Woman on a Saturday night (yeh, I know - a bit sad but it was the 70's and at least Linda Carter was worth watching, despite the bad costume and I was young). Anyway, there was one episode about some band on a bus if my memory serves me and they were called the Hull City Howlers.

After working myself into a mini-frenzy (not sure if it was Linda Carter or the fact City were mentioned, despite the Howlers reference) I remember that it was the Don Robinson era and he had stated that he knew people in the States involved with TV. I think there was even some reference to it in the paper at the time but can't remember all the details, but the inference was that there was a tenuous link to City even down to the colours on the name.

For anyone not old enough to remember 70's Saturday night tv, you can see the quality of the programmes we had to endure! A bit like today really, except now that I'm older alcohol softens the senses.

    Ring any bells with anyone?

That's a further bottle of red on the list to dull the senses for me then!
