No biggy Luv Was just in the post match thread where he said good luck with having success with it, just seemed a dig at the site in and maybe some posters in general (and despite what ppl say we have plenty of pure football discussions) and he just seemed to be poo pooing the thread and he said something about sniping but **** knows what hes on about there. # 6 in post match thread Just seemed to come across a bit "woe is me" twas all
He seems sceptical about the thread, that's fine but I will at least try very hard to keep it a football debate thread where other threads are allowed to wander off topic but like I say in the OP of the post match thread long may that continue. We have a laugh on here and the majority of the people who have stuck around are probably here because of that. Some wanted threads to stop going off topic and that's not going to happen but now at least there is a thread for the people who want a serious chat about footy.
I'm under no illusions as to the task in hand but I'll give it a go hopefully we (mods) will give it a go. I've cleaned up and closed until this evening. Once we are close to the next game I'll unsticky and post a new thread and sticky that. That's the plan anyway.
Sounds good to me. I'd stick the rules on each. PS...don't see why these rules can't just be applied to the match thread TBH
Some of them at least, people do get annoyed if wums turn up when we are losing but I'm a bit worried about getting too serious? Lets see how this goes and take it from there?
It had already been pointed out that thread will not wander, no need for his dig imo But agree with all of your post, nice one mate
Wums are a difficult one. There are a few on here that would have banned Tobes a long time ago but I don't think he's a problem at all. Its a matter of opinion. And besides, if you're going to go on a mutli-team internet forum then you should expect opposition fans to be online too. There are also posters that think others are a wum because they have a difference of opinion whilst supporting a different team. I've said several times when debating this, if the site becomes serious then not only would I quit as mod, I'd quit the site too.
