URUGUAYAN striker Javier Chevanton has signed a short-term contract at Loftus Road. The experienced front-man – a free agent following his release from Italian side Lecce at the end of last season – has been training with the R’s in recent weeks and has now put pen to paper on a three month deal. Chevanton, 33, has won 22 caps for his country, scoring seven goals.
