A mix of racing today as we have 2 Flat race cards from Goodwood and Redcar, while Kempton hosts a card on the All Weather and finally we have some National Hunt racing from Perth... Please let the forum know of anything that has caught your fancy or that just makes you scratch your head... Good luck...
Perfect conditions for BRAVO ECHO 4.50 Goodwood today on a track he runs well on. Worth a dabble at 12s despite the yard not being in great form. I have a WINNER for you on Friday, its a two wheelbarrow job, so watch this space!
Tidals Baby 4.50 Goodwood. Ran in last weeks Bronze Cup at Ayr but was given no chance from stall 1. Prior to that on an upward curve and so wouldn't be surprised to see this one in the shake up. Each way at 9s. Rhum 5.10 Perth. NTD likes his trips to Perth and this one is down to a competitive weight. Each way at 8s and a cheeky ew double on the pair. Good luck all.
Jumps is nearly back and its to Perth for my 2 bets today: 2.50 Kilvergan Boy 4/1 3.25 Formal Bid 15/8 Double and singles
Morning, pilgrims. Have deployed the ‘no bet’ banner which does exactly what it says on the tin...or the banner in this instance. I also like one on Friday. Think she will be ‘oh so sharp’ and she should put up a hot performance after burning up the gallops recently. My regular readers don’t have to be genius to work out who I’m talking about. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more. Meanwhile, anyone seen the card commencer at Market Rasen on Saturday yet. Potentially a very hot 3YO Hurdle. Alan King has entered Duroble Man, who I’ve spoken about a lot since his arrival in the county, for a 6 figure sum, in July (although he has got a woeful run on the polytrack, earlier in the month, to overcome) whilst Mr Henderson, the forum’s favourite trainer, has put in the ex-Mr O’Brien inmate, Royal Irish Hussar. Could be quite a race, methinks.
Morning all morning red Im still scraching my head from yesterday i would like to think it was nits but im bold so it must have been my selections lol I havnt looked yet so if i do put anythink you have been warned about yesterdays woeful preformance Good luck all
6 I fancy so stuck them in a Heinz because I wouldn't mind early retirement 3:50 Red - Mitchell 20/1 4:50 Good - Joey's Destiny 10/1 5:10 Perth - Scotch Warrior 11/2 5:40 Perth - Emily's Flyer 13/2 7:30 Kemp - Uriah Heap 8/1 8:00 Kemp - Ningara 4/1 Good luck all and here's to early retirement!!
morning all-- tis one of them days when inspiration is hard to find, just to keep an interest i am doing a L15, Duke of Clarence 3 05 G Queenies Home 2 40 R Dark Energy 5 10 P Syrian Pearl 7 00K one from each meet, no particular strong views, but as an aside, there is an irish raider that caught my eye in the last at perth, low weight, finished runner up in this race last year, with a similar inauspicous profile-- Drop Anchor @20/1 --may be worth a small interest....good luck to all...
Looks an interesting race Sir Barney, the Fahey runner catches this reader's eye as well. Interestingly, in the second race on the card, the listed handicap hurdle, I was surprised to see "Shark" Hanlon has entered Hidden Cyclone. Is this a cunning plan, or merely a precautionary entry in case things didn't go so well over the big 'uns? Off a hurdles rating of 133 he would be chucked in and this may be a Plot with a capital "P"?
A quick through what looks a tough one to call at Perth, but that dosnt put me off guessing what will or wont do well... 2.20 - Rossinis Dancer, 7/1... 2.50 - Quinder Spring, 12/1... 3.25 - Outrageous Request, 11/4... 4.00 - Toledo Gold, 4/1... 4.35 - Snoqualmie Chief, 5/1... 5.10 - Wild Geese, 6/1 5.40 - Sun Cloud, 12/1... No bets today, just my random calls at Perth... Good luck if you do have a play though...
Just the one for me in the shape of 4.15 Goodwood Ice Pie 6/1. His debut win as a 2 year old over 1m at Lingfield reads very well (overcame greeness) and he ran a blinder on handicap debut off this mark when inexperience again cost his as he was a very fast finishing neck beaten 3rd at Thirsk back in May in a race that has worked out well. He absolutely bombed out on his 3rd start when a very well supported favourite at Newmarket 12 days later when he definitely didn't run to his best and the 132 day break should have freshened him up. Off a mark that I think he will prove to be much better than, I think he looks primed to run a very big race.
Well that made a boring Wednesday just that bit better, all. Well done all other winners today as well.
