I was certainly one who spoke highly of him and for reasons unknown, he had a couple of good performances then didnt deliver after that.

I could make hundreds of excuses for him as others did for AT but all i can say is that he wasnt good enough last season.

I cant wish him ill as i wouldnt on any (well 99%) of players.
Struck me as a decent bloke but had no ntention of playing in the NPC for anyone..cant say I blame him.

So whilst i think he wa crap fopr us, I still wish him well as he can be a good footballer.

hoping his career is over is just plain dumb IMHO. Dont understand the justification for that TBH

I can only assume that the real problem may have been ......................

1- Team harmony last season was shocking to say the least. That must have an affect on any player.
2 - Maybe living in England was not agreeing with him, throw in not getting along with his team mates and we have some major issues stalling this guy.
3 - The guy was a 9 million pound player .................. we all know he has the quality but I just think other factors must have come to a head for him which caused him to want out.
4 - Would it be fair to say that if he was to play with this current bunch of players, with the team enthusiasm that is currently on show, minus whoever may have caused him grief, would he be a better player ?
I'm thinking this may be the case.
Some people can handle adjustments in life better than others ................. that we know. Whether this is the case here, we can only assume.

I hope I don't either. I don't hate the bloke but I hate that we are lumbered with him and therefore have the view I have. We'll end up with a crock for years on millions a year quite possibly. If this was a trier, a Mackie or Derry or even a Matthew Rose, I'd have far more sympathy. He cares not, so I care not.

He has all the leadership ability of Helen Keller directing traffic.

I can only base it on what I've seen and I don't know how he can be described as a brilliant footballer or one who put in more than zero effort.

I understand that Wats and your explanation makes sense but i dont think wishing a career ending injury on anybody can really be justyfied.

I think he tried but disappointed and there are others more deserving of our sympathy, but I cant go along with you wish mate. Thats just me!

Maybe you´re right Aussie and it is a mindset issue but we don´t know the full extent of the injury and how his body will cope with surgery, the interview also stated that this was Granero´s first serious injury so his mental strength will play a key part in his rehabilitation and of course different people heal differently, we´ll just have to wait and see. He is still a QPR player so we should support him in the same way that others on here insist we support the rest of the sicknotes and those with limited ability that remain part of our set-up.

I don't think so mate. He played at the start of the season and he had to be hooked because he was so bad.

He just don't cut it in England but unfortunately, due to bad Club management, we're lumbered with players like him and Caesar and they're costing us an absolute fortune.

I don't get how so many Posters have so definite opinions that this or that player didn't try, especially when like me you are watching most games on a box. A player who is huffing, puffing, running, banging his chest and imploring the Supporters to cheer the Team on, isn't necessarily trying anymore than a player who does little of this but is quietly getting on with his job of getting the ball in the other net.

I think Granero is a good player, but something went wrong with him under Hughes and didn't get much better with Harry. I hope he recovers, and gets back to his best, hopefully with us.

God this guy was effective as Ned Zelic was for us for those with long memories all those years back. I never forget the way MK Dons laughed at us with Park and Granero in midfield during our FA cup game when they were 4-0 just after HT at LR. Granero was a complete lightweight in this game as he was for many others. Clearly unsuited to English football. No hard feelings though just another rubbish Mark Hughes signing and wish him well for the future.
