Technically, it wasn't in the same sentence.

Sorry someone referred to Bruce as great.

Its still an absolutely huge overstatement. Same way as saying he is a **** defender, quite clearly he is a decent Championship player, neither **** nor anywhere near great.

I think Faye will partner Curtis on Saturday - West Ham are a strong team. Don't know about the following week against Villa as they have a lot of pace and could catch Faye out on that side of the game

I was expecting Figueroa to go to centre half and either Rosie or Dudge go to left back on Saturday, I may be wrong, not sure if Macca is fit is he unless they expect to him to be for the weekend.

I'm wondering if Brucie might just play Figueroa next to Curtis and bring Dudge in or continue with Rosie at left back.

Bruce is brave and can tackle, but technically he's poor and he can't pass, stick him up against Premier League opposition and we'll get mullered.

I expect Saturday to be Elmo, Davies, Figgy and Rosie.

I though Dudgeon was good in the first half, but faded badly in the second, though he's been out for a long time(he definitely won't be in the running for a start on Saturday).

I'd be equally happy with Elmo, Faye, Davies and Figgy.

I think Rosie deserves to keep his starting place as he did a solid job at Newcastle

I'd go 3-5-2 on Saturday with Davies, Faye and Figueroa the back three

Totally agree, think that Figgy will step into the CB berth, but after last night wouldn`t be surprised to see Bruce put in there, solid defender and slightly more mobile then big Abdoule. One thing to bare in mind is that Bruce will no doubt be instructed to give it to Huddlestone, who usually sits directly in front of them so his passing ratio may improve !

He kept one of the form players quiet for 90 minutes. He deserves praise and his starting place. I'd rather see him take the RB slot though.

would love to see Rosie given a good run of games. He was one of, if not our best defensive player in the championship for 3 seasons in my opinion.

Id like to see him take Elmo's place at RB and have Elmo play as a winger in a 4-4-2 or a 4-3-3.
