The truth is we have no idea what is in the pot, we assume that there is not as much as we would like because the squad is lacking. Why is there not as much as we would like? Is it really still because of Bates and the legacy he has left or is it because GFH need to appease the investors? My bet is that it is a bit of both, we are into year two of the three year long loan on ticket sales, so if GFH are still around 18 months from now there will be no excuses left and they nor anyone else can continue to lay the blame at Bates feet. An extra 5k a week through the gates would certainly be a massive boost to the coffers and that could have been achieved with ease if the performance on the pitch had been that of a winning team. Why get a manager with obvious talent on board and then not back him 100% and give him what he needs to complete the task
Given that the age profile of the bulk of the supporters at Elland Road is probably close to middle age or beyond, most will have been around long enough, that they're not likely to be fooled with spin from any owners. It's going to take one hell of an effort to get an average of 5k extra a week through the turnstiles. It's hard in the current climate to expect people to hand over hard earned cash for the end product currently available. If there are investors out there, GFH need to get them on board as soon as possible. But then again, whos to say GFH are much easier to get on with as business partners than our last chancer?
This post shows that you can't really give GFH any grief for not throwing funds at Brian when you don't know the readily available details of the financial situation at our club. The season ticket mortgage was over 2 years, not 3. It has now been paid back, to the detriment of transfer funds. Unless it has been paid off, there is still a loan from Enterprise Insurance (at an absolutely astonishing 7% interest on £1.5 million, might I add!). There's the £4 million worth of preference shares that will have had to come out of somewhere when it was paid at the back end of last year, likely eating into our transfer funds even further. When you're dealing with such large sums of money, paying your debts doesn't happen over night. It takes time. So yes, bates legacy is still affecting us and is likely to continue affecting us for the foreseeable future. How much money are we paying in redundancy packages for the staff of Yorkshire Radio? How much of the money it was haemorrhaging are we still paying? Is the pavilion paid off? How many dodgy contracts are still in place that mean we have to pay companies for virtually nothing, that were basically ways for ken to siphon money out of the club? It's likely that despite ken being sacked, the contract for his private jet was not voided, and we will still have to pay it. Just accept that the club likely has many financial discrepancies that have not been dealt with and are likely to take time to deal with as a result of kens web. Remember that the ownership of Leeds United was split between 20 or so shell companies.

I would like to see us owned by someone who puts back into the club exactly what it makes (within reason) I said from day one that GFH will be no good for our club - They are better than Bates but honestly who could have been much worse? They are an investment bank, you mention very valid concerns on finances but remember we are talking of a company (GFH) who performed one of the longest DD processes I have ever heard of. They know this is a profitable club and they know that we as a club make enough money to keep shareholders in GFH and investors happy. Of course I cannot prove this as much as anyone cannot prove that we have no money. Watch the **** hit the fan when the next set of accounts and profits are announced and we see just how much money Leeds United made for it's rich investors

Bloody hell elland I was expecting the A team music to start as I read that. Regarding Clive time there is nothing specific to take issue with yet. But the insidious poison he injects into his posts just to get a rise will become very irritating very quickly. I have a low tolerance threshold but others will make it known when it's a problem. When the old time regulars have issues please listen ( not including me in that group btw).

It doesn't though, because you ignore/filter clive, doesn't stop him ruining every thread he posts in unless everyone else filters him as well. You end up seeing half a conversation between him and someone telling him to shut up. Just ban the useless ****.
