Sky have selected our match against Forest for live TV coverage. The kick off time of 7.30pm won't suit everybody.
Travelling back by public transport on Boxing Day will be a bitch for those whose journey ios more than about twenty miles or so...
A night in the forest at Christmas would be fun. Or something half decent on TV at Christmas for a change.
Well I was looking for an excuse to miss the normal gathering at the out laws seems like I have one now, once I have mentioned it anyone have a spare room
Actually works easier for me but will need a designated driver after a very full lunch on the claret beforehand
I think it's stupid that they can allow a match to be played so late on Boxing Day. As it is, there are no trains at all across the National Rail network on Boxing Day so it will be difficult for fans to get to the match unless they drive or take the club coach - and will people really want to travel to the Midlands and back on Boxing Day evening?
Uhm... yes I know! But clubs would rather have bums on seats in the stadium wouldn't they rather than bums on sofas at home watching Sky? That's exactly why the 3pm kick offs are not televised in this country.
Some of us go to games This actually makes it easier for me, but it's still a ludicrous time to play a game of football on Boxing Day between two teams 130 miles apart.
As a overseas R, Boxing Day has been one I could possibly make...alas, not this year. Would love to know the logic behind this decision.
The logic is, both teams will be quite high in the table and they need to show matches. They don't think of trivial things like how are fans supposed to travel. Fans are irrelevant to Sky. They mean nothing. Sad but true.
Nail on the head... and another reason why I will never have Sky (or any of their resellers) in my house.
