I note that you very carefully omitted the word "sometimes" when quoting me. It makes a big difference to the meaning by it'e omission.
Vetch, Dai was worse than anyone at not knowing when to stop - I disgreed with him - without vitriol or malice and suggesting we end the debate only for him to carry on the argument. It was just a little grating to read him bad moth various members of the Swans staff time after time 10% of his posts were directly football related and positive 90% were about how we suck - especially the one man that is being recognized as 'doing it right' Mr Jenkins or Jinks as Dai knows him.
I've been apart of this and the old bbc 606 for the best part of 6 or 7 years and the only person to refer to me as a muppet and call me an idiot or pathetic is dai. Not one other person has ever been verbally abusive towards myself. Now what are the chances that I am the only person here who has only ever taken abuse from dai? I don't respond by insulting back but I can see why others would. Now if I were to respond however would that be considered bullying? I wouldn't think so. Just because he has insulted more than one person and they feel the need to respond to him does not mean he is being bullied. It means he picked to many fights and it's coming back on him.

Well,dragging up the late Prophet means you are now only able to scrape the bottom of the barrel. Prophet and I had our differences,most of the time he led,and I followed. He was a worthy adversary,something you can only dream about being. That's what I see you as,an adversary on my own forum,but you lack his intellect and commitment. He used to go for the jugular,whereas you go far a gentle slap on the rump. All a long time ago,but thanks for bringing him,albeit pointlessly,into the debate,I know he would be flattered with your belated concerns. I don't ever remember you posting any complaints re my "vile " offerings at the time,however. Most of my posts to him were reactionary rather than proavtive. There were occasions though,when I took the fight to him,piss taking mostly. As for my pontificating,well,if I feel strongly enough about a subject,I will continue so to do,without seeking your approval,of course. You be sure and have a nice day now.
swans-m,I also had a run in with Dai,but managed him very easily. He did insult people,but many insulted him,so I see all that as tit for tat nonsense. Who insulted who first? No idea,and don't really care,but the witchhunt was up and running,continuing to date. Even when he is not posting for any length of time he is being ridiculed. Not reasonable to be singled out by so many. Many people commit suicide when subjected to such behaviour out in the real world. The inescapable fact is that some took real umbrage with him back in BBC days and he was given very special treatment. Whatever he said was ridiculed. Not everything he ever posted deserved such negativity. He likes Liverpool,so what? He admires Rodgers,so do I,so what? He was on his own,whilst many ganged up on him. Reprehensible behaviour,but I see I am a lone voice on here. I wonder who will be next.
lumber,as I stated elsewhere,he was sometimes his own worst enemy,and I don't condone any of his insults,etc.,but a great deal was in retaliation. I am not privy to how many of his posts were unjustly critical of Club or individual,but forums such as this are always prone to such action. It's just a shame that a counter opinion is treated with such hostility. Anyway,this is going round in circles,and each camp has it's own viewpoint. I have made mine on several threads,and am quite consistent about it all.
Vetch I respect you immensely as you know but I think your wide of the make and a little bit mis guided here IMO. If the troll has gone then great, its clear to see he had more fun talking ****e about the Swans and winding up fellow Jacks then discussing the good,bad and ugly of football and our Swans. I have fought battles for him over the years too but he just used that as an excuse to push the boat out even further, I will defend anyones right to say what they think about the team,being objective is key to great debate, I often take the objective route on this forum and not one poster has questioned my loyalty to my club,they all understand that its genuine observations and opinions and not something just put out there to wind people up for no reason. Every objective comment made on this board is based on heartfelt sentiment and constructive opinion, Daiswan has never entered into any genuine debate, YOU CANT DEBATE WITH HIM ! If one man says the sky is green and we all look out the window to see that its blue then we tell him,what is the reasonable answer ? a, No, im right and all you are wrong, the sky is green not blue. b, Oh yeah maybe all of you are quite correct,maybe im colour blind. c, No, I think its green but if you want to think its blue that's up to you but I respect that you may think its different. Everything with him comes under answer a ! Nobody likes to be proven wrong but like in life you treat people how you like to be treated yourself, if he didn't act like such a total knobhead to fellow jacks then he would get a bit more leeway with his love of Liverpool and everything else. The truth is about him that he is and always has been a closet WUM that has taken fair minded people like yourself for a ride on the moral rollacoaster, using your good nature to hide behind and play the victim doesn't fool anybody anymore. Hi,Norway,thanks. I also respect your opinions and always enjoy reading your posts,and this latest offering is no exception. It's not Dai,per se,that I am representing,and I in no way think that I have all the answers,and right on my side. I know from first hand experience what a bloody nuisance he can be. However,a society can be judged by how it treats animals,children and the handicapped. All should receive exemplary treatment. I see this forum as a reasonably close knit community,and most of the time I am honoured and more than happy to contribute. I feel,however, that in the real world Dai would be accommodated,and wish this forum could have done the same. But I guess too much water has gone under the bridge, and the die was cast,pardon the pun,some time ago. Perhaps my Social Work background is proving too much of a hindrance for me.

Well,thanks for that,at least you are making an effort to get past a one word response. It's what you do when you have absolutely NOTHING to draw on,apart from your spite. The next stage in your development is to actually read the post,inwardly digest,get a grasp of the meaning/intent,and then produce a cogent reply. If I say something is black in the context of this forum Dai will say its white ! That aint real football debate nor is it the content of somebody with special needs, its the content of a stealth WUM. Ive tolerated it for years but its pretty much got to the point where nearly everyone is at the end of the road with him. I admire your fight for true values but the person your defending hasn't been true for many years on here
