just looked on sunderlands board ,if you swapped the names of the manager the chairman and the players around ,the posts are very similar,it looks like the northeast is going to be in the news for all the wrong reasons yet again !Between us haven't won jackshit for donkeys years, theres a clue there
Was tempted to merge but this isn't a SAFC specific thread, it's more of a reflection on how **** North East football is just now. Whether SAFC or NUFC the press really like to stir some ****. I can imagine the journo's saying 'oh wait... JFK isn't around at the minute... how can we take the piss out of the NE teams... oh wait... let's stir crap about Paolo'.
and each other QUOTE=pauljohnhutch;5381391]the sad thing is we both provide the bullets for the national press[/QUOTE]
agree with this and 2010TOPS - we all don't do ourselves any favours in the public eye... (horse punch / coffin procession etc)
You'll have to wait till we stop laughing. Anyway why would we go overboard? Your clubs burning desire to challenge our hierarchy's desire for a monopoly on the words "laughing stock" is to be cherished not mocked. 5 games Mind if these reports about revolts are true they maybe had no choice.
I thought MON was the bloke to stop all that twattery down our way. Solid record, good bloke, childhood fan etc. But the football was so turgid it made Big Sam look positively continental...
the sheer indignity of it. Todays poll on Talk***** Poll: Which club is more of a joke - Newcastle or Sunderland? neck and neck at the moment 50% each. this is what it's come to when a radio station pulls the p*** out of both clubs.
Yes, you're spot on there. One day maybe we can both be at the top and stick two fingers up to the media and Talksport etc, Newcastle and Sunderland competing for Champions League places instead of where we are. Real competition with each other and not picking up the crumbs left by the Manchester and London clubs.
