Just watched it again. Guzan does initially move the other way then gets down to the ball very comfortably. It wasn't straight down the middle but it wasn't hit very hard at all. What I will say is that, had Guzan not been way off his line, he may not have saved it.
No I'm not. I'm saying that the only good penalties are the ones that go in. A Premier League forward should always be able to score a penalty. Of those that are saved/missed, I'd say only about 10% of them are due to outstanding goalkeeping.

The problem with this was that: (a) Snodders was not supposed to have taken it; and (b) when he did take it, it wasn't good enough such that Guzan couldn't save it even diving the right way. Ergo, it was not what should have happened. Whether it fits the definition of "crap" or otherwise isn't really relevant I don't think.
