Well he's a great player and would fit into our style of play just think the £50 Million Rodgers is after is too much.

I guess Benzema might be a good option come January also.

Suarez is proven Prem quality and has carried an average Liverpool all last season. He is just a more complete player than Benzema in my opinion. He has great skills, intelligence on and off the ball, great vision, great work rate and a very good finisher. He would easily integrate into our lineup and would take next to no time to adjust. Benzema would take a little while to adjust and his workrate and attitude is a little poor at times. Also he is untested in the Prem. Saying that, I wouldn't say no to Benzema and he would be a success playing for us also, but Suarez would bring immediate success and is perfect for our team in my opinion.

He's not going to keep Walcott out for a few crucial games just so he doesn't play for England. If this was the week before the International break, then maybe.

Sorry posted this in the wrong place, was suppose to be in the Injuries thread. Maybe but it's around the corner and his comment was rather cryptc. Hypothetically, if he's out for 2-3 weeks, then he'll be ready for the England games. If this is the case then it's best for Arsenal that he stays away from the England games.

Arsenal on alert as Yoann Gourcuff Lyon contract talks stumble

Reports in France indicate the club have made reducing their wage budget a major priority and are trying to retain the services of their highest earner by getting him to sign a new deal.

The France international is under contract until 2015, but Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has offered a two year extension, which would see his current weekly wage slashed.

The 27-year-old is thought to be on £90,000-a-week at Lyon and French publication Le Sport 10 has revealed Gourcuff isn't happy with the club's new offer, which could lead to stand-off between club and player, and a possible January move.

It was reported in August the Ligue 1 star would take a pay-cut, but only to help push through a move to Arsenal.

Top player but hasn't shown the sparkling form a few years back. Also, our midfield is well stocked and he would struggle to get a game. Unless he can adapt to the wings, I don't see why we would buy him. Only guy i can see him replacing is Diaby....

Absolutely not. He's not great & on big money. Arsenal don't need another AM with Rosicky, Cazorla, Ozil, Ramsey, Arteta & Wilshere all able to play there to varying degrees.

I agree we dont need him but at the same time have always been a fan.

As ive posted in the past I think Wenger would turn Gourcuff into a World beater (providing he could keep him fit)

This is a player that was considered France's biggest talent ahead of Ribery, Benzema, Nasri etc.. 6'3 with incredible technique he has massive potential but injury's and an arrogant streak have hindered his career.

But with Carzorla and Ozil we are not lacking quality in this area.

The Daily Mail are now reporting that the Gunners are willing to throw some money at AC Milan in order to gain the services of Italian bad boy Mario Balotelli. Incredible, eh?

A deal could be done for a suggested fee of £12m, although I'm not sure the Gunners will feel that it is worth the baggage that comes with him. Just take a minute to remember the uproar from some of the north London side's fans when it was suggested Luis Suarez was on his way. And he had scored 23 Premier League goals the year prior.

World Class ability but a mental case.. Still £12 Million is an absolute steal for a player with that much potential.

We'd be mad not to go for it at that price. As you mention, nobody wanted Suarez before we'd bid for him. I see it the same with Balotelli, he's a card, but he could be tamed by Wenger and we could certainly get the best out of him <ok>

£12m is indeed a steal for one of the best forwards in the world. Under Wenger i have no doubt that he would make a big contribution, not only playing wise but financially. But Wenger will have to be keen on the move and secondly, will AC sell...

Wow. There's been alot of critiscm for Madrid selling Ozil and it keeps on coming. The Spanish press seem to be going crazy

Madrid have made a big mistake. They just dont look as strong this Season.

I like Isco but he's not a real playmaker or a No.10. He's more of a standrad AM and Ronaldo etc.. will miss all the chances the German creates.
Isco recorded eleven assists in all competitions with Malaga. He did that in two seasons. Özil managed 73 assists in three season, and he set the pace at Real Madrid.

Madrid's decision to sell Ozil ranks right up there with our decision to sell RVP to United as one of the dumbest footballing decisions ever.

    Truth.

If we still had RVP I'm pretty certain we would win the league this Season. Our rivals havee weakened and he would get ALOT of goals playing with Ozil, Carzorla and this rejuvinated Rambo.

Should have stayed with us instead of jumping ship. Now he gets to enjoy being in the bottom half of the table with Moyes the Bartender steering the rudderless ship <ok>

I'm honestly expecting an exodus at Man Utd. I I do think Moyes does deserve more time but time is of the essence for some of these players, especially with the World Cup round the corner.

It could be possible. If he continues his poor form and he pisses off his players, you never know.

I wonder if we can raid them for their best players at the end of the season ? I'd take any one of Rooney, Hernandez or Welbeck and maybe Smalling and Kagawa too.

I would actually really like Wellback at Arsenal.
Think he would turn into a great player under Wenger.
