According to the Star... http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/340588/Barnsley-get-Joe-Dudgeon-on-three-month-loan Bloody stupid if it's true, we lack depth and he should be starting for us tonight.
Figueroa must be back then? Plus Rosey did a fantastic job on the weekend at LB....apart from tonight when is Dudge going to get a start?
Cant see him starting or making the bench anyway not after being out a year. He needs game time before he will be ready to play a part for us if at all considering his contract runs out this season.
I dont think its a stupid deal. He's not Premier League or even top 10 Championship quality, which is therefore not good enough for us so we should get rid. Done.
Good move for both parties if true, Dudge needs to get back playing and if Figueroa is back then we have enough cover. Hopefully Dudge will get some game time there and get back to full fitness, earn a new deal in the process as his contract is up in summer right?
Bollocks, the 10 games of last season he played he was our best player, he was absolutely fantastic. If he had not been injured and carried on like he was he wouldn't of been far off a player of the season award.
Dudge looked impressive for his 2 or 3 games last season but is yet to prove himself at Championship level nevermind Premiership League. The only reason I'd let him near the pitch in the league would be in the most severe injury crisis. As its a short term loan he can be recalled on 24 hour notice anytime after either of 14 or 28 days (forgot which) should we need him, but we really need him to play tonight, we're short of options at the back lest we risk Davies, then in which case we'd have to risk Brady too.
How can you say that? if 10 games in someone had said Mcshane would get runner up in the PotY award you'd have said they were ****ing mental.
Normally, with his injury issues, I'd think this was a good move for all concerned. I'm just nervous that we lack depth and we could regret this, though as Bob says, we could recall him after 28 days. Phil Buckingham still seems to think he's playing tonight.
Phil Buckingham has just answered my tweet and says Barnsley have made an approach but it's not been accepted yet and he is expected to play tonight.
We have seen enough of him to make a firm decision on his ability yet, but we've seen enough encouraging signs to make writing him off now utterly ridiculous.
I forget which site it was but there was a video interview with Bruce - he said that Joe needs plenty of game time given his injuries so the best option is a loan move - I assume this will happen sooner or later, wherever he may end up
Aww that's sweet. Or is that a veiled threat? lol bless ya, we are already quite close on match days, makes me chuckle tbh.
