    Last reffed us in 2010 in our 2-2 draw with Leeds at Bellend Rd.

    Also reffed the first playoff semi final between us and Watford.

    He likes to dish out the bookings as well. Averaged 4 bookings a game so far this season.

    Ahh it was Garratt I was thinking off, I always thought Kevin Friend was Garratt.

    I know which one it is now, pretty decent ref when I've seen him.

    Could be worse though. He blows hot and cold and has had a few run ins with big Sam Lard-ace.

    I was more worried about Martin Atkinson @ Newcastle but he got it all spot on,, even Tom Huddlestones late booking.

    Kevin may well end up being our Friend. <whistle>

    Interesting that the 4th Official is Howard Webb who is the ref. for Sunderland v. Liverpool on sunday.

    Interesting to also note that Lee Mason only has 4th official duties(AV-MC & Sun-Liv) over the coming weekend and Jon Moss (who was ref. for the Man Utd v. Palace fiasco) is stood down for a 2nd weekend.

    Why do they release the name of the referee in advance? Is there any purpose to this?
