Be nice to think we could win, but what team are we going to be able to put out?

With so many walking wounded we don't want to risk any further injury problems to our 1st XI with a tough game against Everton coming up on the Monday.

 

The injury list is VERY concerning given all the hype about our new fitness coach.
I couldn't believe the list when I looked on physioroom.

 

I'll be a bit on my own I think as many want a cup run. Personally I don't think we have the squad for such things and should go 2nd string mainly. I'd be wrapping the likes of HBA, Remy, Cisse up in cotton wool. We are so threadbare in attacking areas I don't think we have the luxury of risking them.

Elliot, Debuchy, Dummett, Streete, Good, Bigi, Tiote, Marveaux, Obertan, Sammy, Gouffran would be mine.

 

I'd like a bit of both, maybe include Williamson instead of Streete.

 

Willo is out indefinitely. This is why I'd be reluctant to risk Mbiwa, Colo. They'll be bang up for it and it'll be a bruising encounter. Lose say Remy and HBA due to physical battle and we are ****ed.

 

Didn't realise he was out too. In that case definitely can't risk Mbiwa or Colo. I'd play Cisse as I wouldn't play him at Everton. I also think Tiote should come back for Everton as they're likely to have more of the ball so I'd only give him the first 45 minutes midweek.

 

I reckon we will see the U21 side basically.

 

Of course it could be a banana blip

 

Hull was damaging. Reckon we won't have enough against Leeds. Can see this being a cupset and I'm beginning to wonder, again, if Pardew's going to see Xmas at SJP.

 

maybe Cisse will get a run out to hopefully boost him a little.

 

I think we will lose this one.

 

disappointed as Hull was, we have to pick ourselves up.
League Cup is best chance of winning something so Pardew has to take it seriously.
but, maybe time to give Campbell a start.

first game I will have missed for a long time and am a bit peeved about it, but looking on the bright side that can only bring us some extra needed luck and ensure a confidence boosting win.

 

Can we afford to with our squad? I could not risk the likes of Colo, Mbiwa, HBA, Remy. Any those guys get injured and we are screwed.

 

Screwed if we do, screwed if we don't it seems.

 

We probably cant afford to field too strong a team with the risk of losing the likes of Colo, Mbiwa, Remy and HBA. I didn't realise that both Saylor and Williamson were out. Time for some of the squad players to stand up and be counted and push for first team places.

 

How many are going?

 

Bad enough travelling into Newcastle to watch the dross, I'll be going but I'm giving the away games a miss until we start seeing some decent football.
