So, tomorrow night we have a cup tie against League One side Bristol City, KO 1945, in a tie that many expect Saints to win comfortably ... whether that will be the case remains to be seen! A low attendance at St. Marys is expected to see a reserve side, mixed in with talents from the Academy. A possible line up could look like this: Davis Chambers Yoshida Hooiveld Fox S.Davis Cork JWP Ramirez Isgrove Guly Young Talents such as Omar Rowe, Jake Sinclair, Harry Reed and Jack Stephens were on the bench last time out, so it wouldn't be a surprise to see them again this round, whilst returning striker Tadanari Lee will look to be involved for the first time since January. Bristol City are struggling in the league this season, and may view this as a chance to go out without any real pressure on them and gain some much needed confidence. James O'Connor, Louis Carey, Aden Flint and Marvin Elliott are expected to miss out, with a thin defence furthering stregthening Saints favourites to win, and thus won't be parking the bus at St. Marys. Ref: Graham Scott Linos: Darren Blunden, Dan Robathan Fourth Official: Gavin Ward COYR!!!!
I know its only a cup match and early days in the season but feel that we need to have the likes of Osvaldo on the Bench. He has been quoted as saying he is anxious to get his first goal and what better time to do so with a run out after hopefully being 2 or three up. Cork and Davis to definitely start in the centre.
Can't see the crowd being big at all. Ticket prices are ridiculous. Club should have priced them far lower to get a bumper gate.
Completely agree ... I'm going, £14 would have been the absolute maximum for me personally and that's what we had. I know loads of people who aren't going as it's too expensive to essentially see a reserve side. Would the club rather bring in £x amount with 5,000 people, or £x amount with 23,000 people with a lower price.
Kingsland and Northam are pretty full but chapel is either not open or everyone is taking the option to move round. (Info from Internet ticket buying stadium map)
I would like to see --------------------Davis------------------ Chambers---Yoshida----Hooiveld----Fox -----------Wanyama-------Cork---------- Guly--------------S.Davis--------Ramirez -------------------Rodriguez-------------- Just a thought as we then get to see Wanyama and Cork battling it out for a PL spot I think MP will play JWP instead of Wanyama though.
Kingsland is normally open for league cup isn't it? I sat in Kingsland for Sheffield Wednesday game last season.
Echo are saying that Lee will be involved tonight but I thought I read somewhere he was injured again?
Was injured for the last game, but could have been only minor. Was never going to play against Liverpool anyway.
I'm stoked for this one! Reminds me of the days of the JPT. ---------------------Davis----------------------- Chambers----Yoshi-----Hoiveld--------Clyne-- -------------Davis------Cork-------------------- ---Lee-----------------Guly-----------Gaston--- ----------------J-Rod---------------------------- Bench- Gazza/Cropper, Stevens, Shaw/Targett, Schneiderlin, Osvaldo/Lambert, isgrove, rowe.
