Went the same way as hughes getting in about 12 players & not working, i didn't think he would last with that lot coming in, pity we didn't sack hughes a few games.
The players threw strops because he called them out, they are such babies that they cant stand any criticism. Harrys even come out and said Traore is faking injuries, nothing blew up out of that.
The MOTD boys agreed that Norwich are looking very wobbly this year. Perhaps Col will be able to wave goodbye as we cross paths at the end of the season? He would love that!!
I wonder if Sunderland would consider asking him to come back to save their bacon - he always came across as a smart, thoughtful guy, a good tactician?
MON is probably going to get the Republic of Ireland job, but if Sunderland are going down the route of re-employing former managers they could do worse than Roy Keane ( not much though)
Seems very quick to me - he was only brought in at the death last season, and kept them up and with comfort as I recall. I wouldn't be surprised if this decision comes from him telling someone he shouldn't have, to go f*kk himself, rather than their poor results so early season.
Not sure how comfortable it really was in the end, more down to the rest of us down there being so bad. The big feather in his cap was the 3-0 thrashing of Newacastle away, think they got a 1-0 home win over Everton, played well in a 2-1 defeat to Chelsea, but got thrashed 6-1 by Villa? (all these off the top of my head).
I've always thought of Keane as being one rung above or below Di Canio, depending on which way you look at it. Very polarising.
Di Matteo has ruled himself out leaving Poyet 5-1, Pulis 4-1 and Maclaren 15-2 as lowest odds Apparently Maclaren has declared himself interested...
