Morning all from an overcast West West London, struggle getting out of the pit this morning!

Looking forward to this week, 2 games of football and Mrs W_Y is away for the week-end, so I am looking after my self. I can see a Friday night of fine wine, a good steak and loud music on the cards!

I think snow is great stuff, you can ski on it!

Dave what's the name of the cat that chases you, I have tie with him on it and my memory fails me.

Thanks for Latte's AK, can't rep you yet sorry.

We had friends round for lunch on Sat and Mrs S made Homity Pie, Hairy Bikers version. Highly recommended.

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/deep-filled_homity_pie_48616

Put the telly on after they left and Anya had just scored so a good day all round.

Nice day on Sunday, esp after the sun came out. Went out on the push bike and then pressure washed the greenhouse for the winter and got very wet. Downton in the evening (not sure if I should admit to watching Corrie for nobs?) :emoticon-0125-mmm:

Don's seem to get much time at w/e to visit the site, more time when at work.... <whistle>

    Greetings all....

Briefly... my stepfather passed away on Sunday after 8 days in hospital. He was 94 so very sad but not unexpected.

If anyone ever went to the three horseshoes at letchmore heath, he was the publican there for 29 years..... and got me drunk there at 14 on cider.... I will never forget!

He had a great life, met Winston Churchill before WW2, fought in Egypt with the RAF, flew a small plane from USA to UK, at the age of 82 could still swim two lengths of a small pool underwater, and got two hole in ones at golf when he was in his late 70s. For the last 20 years he has been the archetypal Grumpy Old Man.

Fittingly, I was able to give him an update on every goal on Saturday as it was scored. He was unconscious but I do think his moustache twitched each time ;)

I hope to be back in circulation in a week or so but have lots of arrangements in the next 10 days to sort.

    Have a good one :)

Sad news Yorkie, but what a man. There is no way that you could hope to fill your life in a more fulfilling way.

Hope that your mother is coping with her loss as well.
