For a sensible sub £8m fee I think with a run of games he'd be a pretty decent Premier League striker. Bearing in mind he's only 23 he's still got untapped potential. A lot of those appearances for Arsenal are off the bench so 1 in 4 isn't horrendous, and his record for a fairly meh Denmark side isn't bad either.

    In short I'd have him.

I would take him if he was half as good as he says he is.

So Arshavin becomes crap on the basis of one season where he has hardly featured and played out of position? Crazy.

Or he became good on one half season?

He's had 2 pretty poor inconsistent seasons and the majority of Arsenal fans don't want him anymore. He is so lazy, and the wrong side of 30.

Edit: And how is 52 games 'hardly featured'?

I can't believe the number of people who don't want him.

Is he better than Shola, Best, Lovenkrands & Ranger? Yes he is easily better than all of them.

Is he arrogant? Yes, but so too is Nile Ranger yet people have been wanting him to get a chance for years.

I personally don't think he will come to us I think he's holding out for Champions or Europa League football.

Arsenal will be desperate to sell him because he doesn't want to be there and the clock is ticking, so they won't want to wait and hold out for a good offer when it could mean them missing out on potential targets who would replace him, so they'll probably accept a knock down price. It's worth a punt I think.

He's had some bad games at Arsenal, but I'm not surprised the guy is 23 and doesn't get a chance to play week in week out. He's been in and out of the Arsenal side and mainly used as a substitute so he's never had a chance to establish himself.

A lot of footballing people highly rate him and he obviously thinks he's a great tallent and has the belief to be one of the best strikers in the world. Whoever gets him will get a bargain because once he gets a good run of games in a team I think he'll grow into a top draw striker

He was brilliant when they first signed him and in the seasons before that when he was at Zenit he was classed. He almost single-handedly carried Russia through the Euros. He may not be the most consistent player in the world but he can win you a game on his own. He only started about 20 league games and still scored a few goals. I think the emergence of Nasri has done for him somewhat but he is still quality.

<yikes> I'd think twice before taking any Big4 rejects in our team...
