Say's that you need to take your chances if you want to beat teams like hull. Apart from that miss at the end, what chances is he talking about. Most of the best chances came from us? http://www1.skysports.com/football/...-anger-in-newcastle-dressing-room-on-saturday
They scored 2 goals and missed a sitter, if they could have defended a bit better they would have won. It's all swings and roundabouts, "on another day" etc. We won, we played better.
my interpretation of "When we have chances to beat teams like Hull, we have to take them." is not the same as yours. he wasn't talkig about chances in front of goal, he was talking about the opportunity to win coming from being ahead in the game. why did you put an apostrophe in say's?
It was their right back at fault for the goals. Pity they didn't have that Steven Taylor playing. He's always good for a laugh when he cocks up.
The phrase "Take your chances" to me means you score the chances you have, and though the magpies had more possession, I believe we had more shots on goal and that is a more important stat as you can have all the possession in your own half as you like but if you don't create shots on goals then you can't score the goals needed for victory
Newcastle scored 2 fortunate goals and missed a last minute sitter. Hull scored 3 well crafted goals and Danny Graham could have had a hattrick. Seems fairly conclusive to me. By the way Mathieu Debuchy is possibly the worst player ever to pull on a black and white shirt. No coincidence that all our goals came from the left.
Colo had an off day. Normally he is rock solid and the best defender I've seen in our stripes since Woodgate.
